Having experiencing multiple issues with Maxis Main Street Mobile Homes lot which was placed in Belladonna Cove with Apartment Life EP (one of them I mentioned in “What glitch has scared/surprised you the most?” - thread , but it wasn’t the only trouble with that lot, unfortunately) and having found out in forums that the lot was in fact buggy per Maxis fault, I decided to make my own trailer park lot for my poor Sims and which one I'd be able to play without fearing any weird glitches and complications.

It’s based on the original, I only took some liberties with a floor plan for each trailer and furnishing. The way I planned it, the longest trailer on the left is meant for a family with two kids, while two trailers on the right are for Romance/Pleasure/Popularity single Sims – Murphy beds are great for a private WooHoo but can be put back up in the wall during daytime to give more space for parties.
All five trailers are fully furnished, albeit with the cheapest items available ;-)

Lot was built in AnyGameStarter and it requires Apartment Life EP only, Custom Content wasn’t used at all. Lot was play-tested for couple of Sim days in different saved games of mine and functioned perfectly.

Lot Size: 5x2
Lot Price: $945-$1.185

Number of bedrooms: 5 or more
Custom Content Included: None
Furnishings: Starter Furnishings
Special Flags: Not Applicable

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Thnak you so much for this. I knew the EAxis lot was crashing my game, but I thought it was somethig *I* was doing wrong. I should have known better.

Anyway, great looking fix. Thank you.

Same here! I moved in the Broke family and the lot kept crashing; I even reinstalled my whole game and the error kept happening. Glad to know it's not me, and thanks for making this nifty replacement!

Yeah, that Maxis lot is totally buggy! Took me a lot of trial and errors to figure out it was the lots fault, not mine.

This is perfect, thank you so much! I wanted this lot for a story but I couldn't even play it for 5 minutes without the whole game crashing. I'm so so happy to see that it's not me or my game, and with this awesome lot I can finally play the way I wanted to! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Good idea; I have made a trailer park before but it was too cramped and it was residential. (Didn't have AL; not even sure if it was out when I made it for personal use!) Thanks.

Cool. I've had the same crash problem with my Maxis-made trailer park. Had a "twister" come along and demolished it I recreated my own almost the same as the game original to use with my Sims. I'll be adding yours to the neighborhood now

Isn't the Peterson family (or something like that) living in that lot already in Belladona Cove? Does it means that family (actually, one sim woman) will be bugged no matter what I do? I'm so sick of bugs; first it was the Ottomas twins father, then the permanent pet pregnancy controllers (which fix doesn't work in my game), and now this! These were too much brackets. Thanks for making a remake.

I wasn't aware that this lot was so problematic. My only issues thus far is one lawn gnome that Sims constantly want to steal but spazz out because they can't reach it, and dogs coming and tearing up the flowerbeds. However, I think now I'm going to take precaution and move out all my trailer park Sims, bulldoze the lots, and replace them with this.

I love the trailer park for my trashy Sims, but I hate that it always bugs up my game. Therefore, this is very useful. Thank you very much!

Hello there! Just wanted to drop in and say that I never played the original lot but I am so glad I found this replacement! It is exactly what I was looking for.. especially because now I don't have to go and build my own!
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, I was having serious trouble with the Maxis lot causing crashes when placed in Strangetown. And Strangetown really needs some mobile homes, doesn't it?

Thanks, this lot is perfect for the Brooke family, as they can't afford to live in their current house!
