The scope of this project is breathtaking. Part 1 is amazing in and of itself. In the pictures, the exteriors are so detailed, and the interiors very functional and lovely. I still play Sims2, enjoy it very much, and it makes me happy others continue to create for it.

Fresh-Prince-
Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate this coming from you since I am a crazy mad fan of your work! I bow to you.

Cat & Max Q -
Thanks Cat and Max!

I remember when Sims 1 ended I was just getting used to the newer EPs and Sims 2 hype overtook the creativity yet to be realized.

This time (especially since I have no real desire to abandon Sims 2 for Sims 3), I want to enjoy The Sims 2...but I need the ULTIMATE neighborhood to play in that has everything...a neighborhood with functional buildings for the Sims to "do" something in while there, yet have the essence of what they are supposed to be.

In all honesty, my passion is with houses...but the lack of enough predecorated community lots gave birth to this project. So, I decided to create this major project as my formal adieu to Sims 2...not that I'm saying Goodbye to it. But this is a massive project y'all (remnants of living in Texas)!

Do enjoy the downloads everyone and let me know how the playing goes.

I did test them, but my computer graphics are not at their best at the moment. I just received my new fans, graphics card and power supply today to go with the new motherboard...So tomorrow the computer will be basically rebuilt and more powerful!

Happy Simming All!

Thanks for the compliment! Well...I guess it did take some time to design the lots. Although I find that when I'm designing lots time goes out the window when I enjoy what I'm doing. In all honesty, I think I spent more time in the planning phase -organizing the types of community lots, residential lots and specialty lots I want to include in this little venture. Of course, the list grew and grew!

I appreciate the positive feedback. Deciding to create a City Hall seemed the perfect inspiration for this project. My favorite room in the City Hall is the Courtroom. I actually found a "scales of justice" yesterday to accent the judges desk. Creating a Custom Content free neighborhood is quite challenging for me, but I've come to realize that simplicity has it's rewards. I am actually using Custom Content as a way to "accent" my lots AFTER they have been uploaded. This forced me to make the Community Lots more functional for the Simmies.

Piper_26
I am glad to share this with the Sims community. Although I must confess the heart of this collection is selfishness. First off, I "needed" to sucessfully complete something in the now that I could control and to express my creativity in a purely tangible way. Second, this "project" was about having all the types of lots I wanted in one neighborhood but have never had (to include everything from "normal" to "imaginary", from "modern" homes to "medieval" castles. Hopefully (a year from now - LOL) when I upload the final lots for this project I will have achieved my goal.

:cylon: Glad to see you still around as I know that you are busy with your Sci-fi creations elsewhere! WHICH reminds me, I need to add my "Sim Trek" ideas to my Simtopia neighborhood.

Abandon Sims 2...never! I have too much invested in it. I'm actually looking forward to aspects of each set and feeling more inspired everyday to create things of imaginative beauty. Also, it's time I actually broadened my creative style to share my vision for an ideal Sim community that encompasses a bit of everything without me filling my neighborhood with neighborhood objects instead of functional Sim lots.

Take care and thanks again for the compliment.

So do I! :rofl ...As it all exist perfectly in my head.

Thanks again 101ita.

The one regret I have about this project is that players "need" all the EPs and Stuff Packs. Originally, I was going to do a Base Game Only Neighborhood...but that can wait as inspiration is what it is and I wanted to finally be able to design in simplicity and enjoy all of these games that I paid for without having to keep separate files and programs permanently installed on my computer. So...get those STUFF Packs when you can...I guessing they are a bit cheaper now that TS3 is out.

Well isn't that the pot talking to the kettle! While I haven't downloaded your "lots" persay, I'm aware of your creations. I love the look of your Sims 3 lot "The Park Along The Way" and the gentle creativity of your "Cheshire Grin" lot. However, I do have quite a few of your objects in my "MTS-Guardigan" folder. Nontheless...Thank you immensely for the shouts!

Thanks Pegasus!

Gwrych isn't dead. It just was put on hold until my computer was rebuilt...which it FINALLY is and working beautifully.

I will upload sets #2 and #3 of Simtopia and then work on Gwrych. Since I am uploading Gwrych under StephSim, I need to do a bit of simplifying and make sure I design all the lots myself in completion. It will happen soon. Very soon!

Hey, Steph!

Wow, you've been busy. I'm glad to see you've found your muse again, I thought you'd left us for good. This is a very pleasant surprise.

It would be redundant to heap accolades on your genius as a lot designer, but these lots are fresh and original. Thanks for this.

Welcome back, sister.

Now that I am settling down FINALLY...my creativity is better. It's easier to be when the person you are with is also a Simmer. Bro, I miss you like mad. You'll love the new me...less chatting....more Simming! ---Yeah...right!

Genius...There's that word again. Let's not talk of your creative genuis!

Thanks for the compliment. I'll be visiting your site tomorrow, pending there is no pre-wedding drama tomorrow. I plan to take it easy the day before the nuptials. I actually have "butterflies" for the first time in my life.

boomer329 - Thanks for the love! Actually, I'm hoping to change the lack of love for community lots with this collection. For me, playing has always been lackluster without a cohesive general community to play in. So, I'm on the road to making Simville community lots a little more fun to play in...well as soon as I iron out a few medieval lot bugs I'm having with my Gwrych project. Do enjoy the lots! More will come soon!

I'm fussing with the "playability" of my Simtopia Train Depot at this very moment. I couldn't figure out why the waiters/waitresses were no where to be found. Apparently they were amazed at the pile of coal (Maxis ashes) I have in the engine car. So I am searching for an alternative. Then I will upload the Train Depot!

Do enjoy the lots. More to come soon.
