I'm having a bit of a problem. The house installs fine, but, for some reason when I click on a blank lot to put the house on, there is nothing there to accept or cancel - it's blank (I can still accept or cancel, but, the house isn't there). Do you have to have the game updated or World Adventures installed? I installed the house fine on my daughter's computer (she has World Adventures installed, I don't) and I installed it on hers before I patched up her game.

Hmm, strange. I don't have World Adventures yet. I do not understand what the problem may be.

You can also download this house on the exchange here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail...assetId=1566959 It doesn't show it needs the EP there at all.

I always love "touring" your houses! This one is beautiful inside and out.

Actually, that's where I first downloaded it. I saw that you put it up on here, and I thought I'd try this one. I didn't think that you had World Adventures yet since it didn't show up on your Sims page. I'll keep trying without the Ep installed and if anything, I'll go ahead and install it.

Thank you JustJoshin, and triciamanly!

And andistyr, I had been so worried that there may be a problem with my lot, that I took the time to test it thoroughly from my second computer. Since the house had already been installed on it, I uninstalled the game entirely, then reinstalled a fresh copy and downloaded the house again. The house installed fine, so I imagine that it must be a problem on your end. Good luck!

Thanks for your help. I'll try again. If not, I'll wait till I install World Adventures.

hi there! I'm afraid I'm also having problems with this. It downloads fine, but when I go to put it on a lot, it's invisible. There's nothing there, just shows an empty lot? which is a shame, because from the pictures, the house is gorgeous!

I love Victorian homes and this one is so gorgeous I really like the combination of walls on the exterior and the garden is so pretty.

Thank you Gurardgian and EsmeraldaF!

Wow, joannesO, I can't imagine what the problem might be. This concerns me... Hmm, I had been holding off buying the new EP so I could build a few more houses without it.

There is no use in doing this if some people can't download them unless they have the new EP already. This is strange and very frustrating!

joannes0, and andistyr, I have another question for you. Do you have the latest patches installed?

I am determined to get to the bottom of this, if I can. I am taking it to the help desk at EA. Perhaps the tech guys will know what the heck is going on here.

hmmm, I'm not sure... any updates it had loaded automatically after I'd registered.... where would i find out if I've got them all?

EDIT: nix that, I found one. apparently I hadn't installed the EA download manager apparently and there was one update waiting. I'll try the house again and see if it works when the update is done. I hope it works!!! cross your fingers. lol

okay, here's what happened. After I downloaded the latest update I tried to run the game again and it would get to the part where it tried to load the town, but would stop and get stuck there. So I went to the EA website and it suggested deleting all third parties mods. So I deleted my entire packages folder and then tried to start the game again. YOur house looks beautiful in my game now and it loaded exactly the way it was supposed to.

So.... it was one of the mods in my packages folder that was messing things up.

I don't have the latest patch yet installed. But, like I was saying in a earlier post above, it installed fine on my daughter's computer and I installed it on hers before I patched up her game. We do have the same mods though, but, even still it did fine on her computer. But, she has the Ep installed and I don't (I'm waiting on them to put a patch out for the Ep).

Okay. Thanks joannesO! It likely did have something to do with mods then.

And andistyr, I imagine installing the latest patch will fix everything for you. The most recent patch update, had some cool building tools included which allows for changing patterns on fences, which I used throughout. If you have any further problems or questions after either getting the EP or patch, please post them. Thanks!

I bet that's it then - since I didn't have the latest patch and you used the new building tool stuff that was updated in the new patch. When I install the new patch, I'll try putting the house in and then I'll let you know if it worked or not.

Thanks andistyr. Yes, please let me know.

Thank you Zai-chi. Lol, I hadn't even realized that this house was similar to one I had built for Sims 2 until you mentioned this! I can see the similarity now, but I know the floor plans are entirely different. Thanks for your reply!

Just to let you know, all that was needed was the patch.
