Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Well, I started out copying this 'New American' style house but first of all, to have a garage facing the right way I'd have to settle for a lot where the light comes from the back, making the front of the house look rather shadowy and dark. So, I reversed the plans/pic. There was also no good way of making the roof over the covered entry be that far down. AND I decided I didn't like the blue stucco, AND the back of the house is really quite different to the one on the site. So yeah. But I like mine better anyway. I should, because I spent long enough on just the roof. :D

Anywho, this house features a double sideways garage, powder room, kitchen with meals area, dining room, sunken living room and a library/study on the ground floor. Upstairs it has a games area, the master bedroom with large ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet, plus 2 neutral bedrooms and 1 neutral nursery and 2 more bathrooms.

Outside it has a pool, bbq area, swingset and a large-ish expanse of lawn.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

This is built by an expert! The house looks so real. I still haven't figured out how you do that! I love the different levels in the floor plan. I guess I better stop. Is there a limit on comment words?

Masterfully done - I love it! I also agree with the first poster, it does look extremely true-to-life. I only wish I could make houses like this myself.

This is a very beautiful house indeed, but I wonder why it costs 285,000,000 something in my game...the game also crashes everytime I try to get in the house...It's too bad I can't use it but still, I appreciate your wonderful work!

Yes, this is a beautiful house, which resembles something called Richland Court http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=161384 that I've previously downloaded. Posted here to thank you and ask about why the game crashes when I try to enter the house. I've downloaded and installed all the custom content you listed. Thanks in advance for replying!

Original Work
Love this house! The hallway leading to bedroom 2 and the master suite should be wider, but I love the design anyways. Especially the sunken rooms. And this house does not resemble, nor is it designed like Richland Court!
