Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
A very compact little house for up to 3 sims, with fireplace. Built on a 10x10 lot so it will fit basically everywhere; hardly any landscaping since it doesn't really have a "landscape".

1 x double bedroom
1 x single (or twin) bedroom
2 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining/living

If you want to use it for more sims, you could convert the downstairs bathroom into a bedroom and only use the upstairs bath. One could also split off a tiny 2-tile toilet from the downstairs bathroom (right next to the entrance) – so you'd still have two bathrooms, plus an extra 1-sim bedroom.

Be aware that the tiles underneath the stairs are not accessible – this is no problem for the stereo, since sims don't need to touch it, but I don't think they'll be able to put fish in the bowl on their own.

This is built on a 10x10 lot; prices below (F = furnished, U = unfurnished) are after it's placed on a regular 20x30 lot.

Please don't PM me with questions. Post questions/feedback about this particular house in this thread, generic build mode stuff in the Build Mode forum. Thanks.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

I love your house, but would you ever buy a house in real life that did not have a sink in the bathroom? This isn't the first house I have seen on here that was missing the sink in the bathroom. It's not a big deal though, I'll just add one in. The bathroom is plenty big enough for it. Thanks for sharing the house.

Great job on this house plasticbox - Amazing to keep it under 19,000. By the way I think the lack of sink in bathroom is to keep the cost down. Thanks again!

That, and sinks in bathrooms are pretty much useless in the first place. The only time you'd need one is when you have neat sims, who will hike all the way to the kitchen sink to wash their hands otherwise … there's not much of a point wasting §§§ and space for such a small minority.

The design is quaint, and the colors are simple and wonderful. This proves a Sim doesn't need to be rich in order to enjoy their home. Thank You!
