I've made my first maps in SC4 and this one turned out so nice that I decided to share. Here, I wanted to make a versatile spacious terrain with both low land and higher ground and enough beach side streets. There's an island at the entrance to the bay and two bridges. I've flattened out the roadsides enough to place nice even lots.

If you have small resolution on your computer, you'd better download a camera hack. To test the playability of the map, I put it on my old laptop and noted that only the farthest road ends were out of reach. However, you can play the island alright (build your lighthouse there ).

The Dogwood Bay terrain is base game compatible, but the shorelines enable seaside lots placement, if you have BV.

In these pics, there are some neighborhood decorations just to show you what size the map is. The dl file itself does not contain a decorated nbh. Pls note, these four pics were taken in the old laptop with the cameraman mode of the game (no camera hack).

This picture is from the SC4 game so it's mirror image.

No cc, no houses, no sims, just a map. You can use it to create a new neighborhood of your own. I will be making a decorated nb called Dogwood Bay and put it up for download later, when I've got the time.

Please note, you should unpack the contents of the rar-file in your SC4Terrains folder (don't put them in your Downloads folder)

Great job! The only issue with DL-ing maps for me, or even full 'hoods, is that the water is just a flat blue . . .

Thanks guys. I'm glad you like it.

@Digital Symphaties: if you place the sailing boat decoration in the water, it also brings the glitter to it.

What a great neighborhood, I had been experimenting with creating SC4 terrains a while ago, but gave up on it because I couldn't get them looking good enough to share. Thank you for doing what I could not.

I love this map! Thank you so much for sharing! And thank you very, very much for even making it! I love how it's big and can fit a bunch of houses! I'm going to get a lot of use out of this map!

Edit: I downloaded this with Sims2Pack Clean Installer and it says that there's nothing in the folder to install. :'( I want my neighborhood!
