Maxis add-on: New ‘Function of Plate Glass’ windows and doors

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This set came about because I wanted a fitting window for my Nook Living Room set. (Find it HERE). I needed a window that was a full tile wide and just above coffee table height, and the Maxis basegame ‘Function of Plate Glass’ window would fit that if it was modified a bit.

From there it developed into a Maxis add-on set of 8 windows and 2 doors, and this is what they look like:

More precisely there are
* 3 single windows – all a full tile wide and therefore perfect for sunrooms, in-door gardens etc. One of them is the window for the Nook Living set and must be downloaded in a separate file (For those who only want the window for the nook and not the others).
* 3 double windows – one of which is full width
* 2 special windows – there are two of each in the picture below, so you can see how they line up.
* 2 doors

All of them have diagonal versions. They match the original ‘Function of Plate Glass’ window and take their textures from it. That means they also use all the recolors you have of this window.

To complete the collection you can go and download Leesester’s counter-height version of the original window. You can find it in this thread.

To make it all easier to find I made a collection file that also includes Leesester’s window.

All windows are priced at 111 simoleons – in the catalogue just after the original which is priced at 110. Doors are priced at 146.

Polygon Counts:
Single and double windows – 148
Special twin – 296
Special stack of 4 – 592
Door, solid – 480
Door, glass – 360

Love Maxis add-on build sets, thank you.

Can the windows/doors be placed diagonally?

I dig the door with two windows! :-D Thank you!
Do the doors need their own recolors?

You're all most welcome. I'm glad you think they can be of use.

Psychosim0, the doors take their recolors of the original Maxis window, too.

Great Job! EAxis has a nasty habit of not finishing their sets, and this fills a huge gap. Thank god there are talented people like yourself to finish what EAxis started.

Great!!! and i'm wondering where your shades on the windows are from. I like in some of your pics they have shades. Are they a download? or from a game?
thanks

Jman93, if you mean the shades in the picture from the balcony, then they're a separate download. It's from Sims In Paris.

Downloaded the collection file, but not seeing the windows. Do I need the other two files as well, or is this some other issue? Unzipped, and in the Sims 2 downloads folder, as they should be.
