International Windows - Counterheight

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
So in my experimentation of different unknown values in packages I accidentally created windows. Accidentally since the end result was not what I intended, so I repurposed my meshes. So my failure brings you another couple of counter top height windows.

In game each window is named something different, something that drives me absolutely crazy! The windows match and are a "set" but EA has to be "creative" and name them each differently.

Window Shmindow
  • Build/Windows
  • §100
  • 2 Channels - same as the original
  • 4 Presets - same as the original

Regifted Window
  • Build/Windows
  • §250
  • 2 Channels - same as the original
  • 5 Presets - same as the original
  • Includes Diagonal

Polygon Counts:
All polys same as original full height ones.

1T Short - 230
3T Short - 228
3T ShortDiag - 246

Additional Credits:
Tub - EA store or an EP/SP
Bath Counters - plasticbox

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

FINALLY. I wonder why it took so long for someone to do this.

Hmmm, some of the greatest things in history were created/invented by accident. Go ahead and screw up again. We'll be here waiting patiently to download ;-)

I was just looking for a counter-height version of the Regifted Window yesterday. Much appreciated; thanks!

Thank you for this great addition!

If someone is interested, there is another set with 10 versions for this window on LaLunaRossa-sims.org (Schmindow Window).
Together with HugeLunatic's 3x1 counterhight version I have a really big set now.

Counter height and Maxis add-on! It's a whole new game, and EA is still doing the same old thing, making windows without proper matching sets for the whole house. These look quite nice, thanks for sharing.

Hurray for discovering how to make TS3 windows! :D

THank you for these - I've only just started adding CC to my game and was last night bemoaning the fact I had no counter height windows like these.

Excellent! Just out of curiosity, what were you trying to make? Mirrors? Or something completely different?

These are great.

But, since I patched (the latest one, related to NL) part of the window disappears into the wall.

I expect you have loads of more important stuff to do but, if you did find the time to update your windows, I and all the other little people out here, would be so very grateful.

I just found these linked from Customsims3.com. Thanks Huge Lunatic for making them! EA is just too silly to make sense when it comes to making windows.

Hey, I love these, but everytime I use them my game window closes, i chose the long counter height one, as the LAST step on my newest NL library, and the damned thing closed on me without my saving! GAH! I'm so devastated that I am going to have to start that library all over again, but can you find out why this is happening?? I have used the dashboard to locate conflicts and such and theres no problems popping up with these windows, but i checked with no other content in my game and it still happens, but not without them, so i have narrowed it down to these windows.

I love your work, and I really don't want to NOT have these.. please please check it?

Yes, I had just downloaded them a few months ago, and downloaded again and tried again when I posted the comment, and still the same thing. Even when I took everything else out of my packages folder, it still does it =(
