Funky Starter Cottage ~ No CC, rich interior design

Presenting a lovely little starter cottage.
Looks may be deceiving with this little gem! It may look humble and quaint from the outside, but inside it boasts a richly decorated interior, with deep walls and rich chocolate furniture and trim.

It features a good sized lounge area, and the generous sized main bedroom has ample room for a study area or cot for any 'unexpected' arrivals.
It also has an eat-in kitchen.
Flooring is of lush carpeting, deep floorboards and terrazzo flooring in the bathroom and kitchen/dine.

All interior colours have been 'hand picked' for perfect styling.

This cottage is wonderful for Sims who like to start small and build up by extending their home on the generous allotment. Or for those who like simple living.

Tested with a sim couple and another couple with a toddler.

I'm thinking of doing a series of Funky Cottages designed and decorately differently, so I would love to hear any thoughts on this.

I hope you like it, thanks for having a peek!

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

It looks so cute and simple from the outside, but the interior is so lush and cosy I heart this adorable little place

The layout looks simple, but efficient. The decor really makes it stand out, though! Thanks!

I have NO idea about the lamp, lol..I'm pretty sure the lamp is just a standard item. Maybe it looks different as I used a wicker texture for the base and darkened it

Thanks for taking the time to comment, guys. I really appreciate it.

EDITED TO SAY: I went into the game last night to see where the lamp was from, and it's the Ashley lamp from simpossible.net.
Sorry about that! I thought it was a standard item

This is a great starter home. I honestly think starters are the hardest thing to build if you're going to make them really cute like this one.

It looks very nice in your screen shots. I will have to see how it looks and works in game, but the design looks very beautiful and aesthetic.

I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I've been playing this house with my architect simmie, and it is really lovely. It's very playable, and the interior design does have a rich, modern, feel. Plus, there is plenty of room to grow and expand. Kudos on what I feel is an exceptional starter home!

Very nice starter home. Just one question though before I download.....
I noticed in the pics that there is bad food (green stink) coming from the fridg. So does the bad food come with the home too? Is that a special bonus? :D
