Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Here is a mansion for fans of Jane Eyre, a courageous and righteous governess, who fell in love with her employer, Mr. Rochester, only to find that he was already married to a madwoman whom he kept hidden high up at the top of his house. The beautiful mansion has a grand reception room for entertaining many guests, dining room for 8, library, 8 bedrooms, 8.5 baths, servant's quarters, and stable.
My test sim family including Edward Rochester, Jane, Adele, and servants John and Mary were able to function well in this large and bulky lot which is base game only.
For fans of Emily Bronte, sister of Charlotte who wrote Jane Eyre, you can find my versions of Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange at simfansuk.com.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

I *need* to tell you how much I love this house, it's so gorgeously made! My inner bookish fangirl is delighted and disappointed that my comp wouldn't be able to handle the lot+sims.

Many, many thanks for your comments! I'm a big Bronte fan myself. I don't know how many times I watched the Timothy Dalton version of Jane Eyre. It's hours long and lots of talking! Absolutely fascinating! To me, Wuthering Heights is best enjoyed by reading the novel!

*just...can't...get...jaw...off...the...floor!*

WOW!

Jane's been my fav forever (the 1st copy I read had been my great grandmothers - I think I was 8 when I read it - it's worn red leather with gold...) I have at least 2 versions of the movie - I like Dalton well enough, but my favorite version is Samantha Morton and Ciarán Hinds. *jaw must be off the floor by now cause I'm babbling!* I could go on, and on...

You did an amazing job with Thornfield! All with basegame architecture - amazing!
