2/27/13 New package file!

Some users were reporting that my original package was causing game issues. I was never able to recreate the error on my end...and most people were not having issues at all. However, I did receive other reports that people who took my sims3pack version and extracted it no longer had issues. So...I simply extracted the package from my sims3pack version and am offering it up for download here. Sorry I took so long to put up a new file, believe me, things have been hectic. -daluved1

8/12/2012 - Fixed! Please redownload!

The way I had the bow detail mapped on the mesh was causing some clothing to pick up it's texture, too. So, I remapped the shoes to where the bows texture will not interfere with any clothing. Please redownload. Just let the original file replace the old one and you will be fine. You will not have to reapply the shoes to any existing sims because the package has the same instance as the original. This also means that if you merged my shoes with other packages, all you have to do is import the package into S3PE like normal and it'll automatically update the old files.

Be sure to clear your caches!

Thanks to lewisb40 for bringing this to my attention.

Keep them dollars coming, and that's goin' make me dance!

You can't be a proper stripper without a good pair of platform heels. The whole get-up just isn't complete without them. So, daluved1's contribution to Puss 'N Heels is, well, the heels!

The shoes feature a thick platform sole, with spiked heels. To accentuate the strapped ankle tie, there is also a cute 3D bow detail.

What I love most about the shoes is that they are very versitile. They can be skanky night walkers, or trendy summer sandals. It's all in the CASting and outfit choice.

Make it rain!

The shoe has three channels: straps/bow, sole/heel and the underside. I started to give the bows their own channel, but it didn't make much sense.

The shoes are available for adult females only. They are found in all categories, including career. However, they are not set to random townie use.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Btw, what is that item that you have your sim against? Is it an actual pole or the firefighter pole recolored?

I really love these. I'm pretty picky when it comes to shoes for my sims as many that I've seen really making the foot too short, or the ankles too thick. This actually looks like a shoe seperate from the sim's foot and the proper size. Thank you so much for sharing!

I am so sad...had to give up the shoes.

The shoes texture is attaching to EA and store clothing, either the collar or bottom hem.

Anyone else having these issues?

Unfortunately that's going to happen with some clothing. Because that bow detail has to be mapped separately from the shoes in order to have texture and recolor. I threw it in the corner somewhere, but there is only so much space on the entire EA body map that there is bound to be some overlapping some where. I've had this happen with a lot of CC shoes that feature extra meshed on details. I will look into possibly finding a lesser used spot on the UV map.

ETA - Can you tell me which EA items are overlapping so I can compare their texture maps?

I did some testing and found out it was happening to a lot of things. But I found a space to move the bow's texture to - it's actually lodged between the shoe straps. This insures that nothing will overlap! I'll be uploading a fixed version shortly.

It was the collars of these outfits:

The hem of these outfits and the one pants from Diesel:

Yep, seen it other CC shoes too, didn't know what caused it, but thank you very much for explaining it. Thank you for looking into it, I understand if nothing can be done about it.

EDIT: Saw your post after I posted mine. I iz havin' a happy now!
