Supernatural/ Seasons Lot updates

"Dreams flow across the heartland
Feeding on the fires
Dreams transport desires
Drive you when you're down -

Dreams transport the ones
Who need to get out of town"

Neil Peart, Middletown Dreams

This is a new version of Jericho , updated with Pets and Showtime Venues.

Jericho Story

There has been a settlement along the Kaen-Garen River for as long as anyone can remember. The Old Town of Jericho was a sleepy place, caught in the past, drifting along quite happily in its own little world.

Until one day, someone constructed a big red bridge across the Kaen-Garen, and a new City sprung up on the other bank. Newcomers moved in, and the people of Old Town found themselves invaded by a new way of life. They were not happy!

Will Old and New Jericho unite, or will their differences ever hold them asunder?

A map of Jericho can be seen here.

Some images showing Seasons in Jericho here.

Population

Jericho is unpopulated.

I have the sims I made for Jericho and other worlds available in my studio. Get them from my page here! The sims specifically created for Jericho are labelled 'Jericho', but of course you could use any of my sims.

If you like the sims, I would be grateful if you could click 'recommend' on the exchange download page, as this will help to ensure that EA do not purge these assets when cleaning up the site.

World Information

Map Size: Large 2048X2048

World Type: Suburb

Game Requirements: Basegame 1.36, WA-LN-AMB-GEN-PETS-SHT Riverview (non-decrapified) is also required.

Yes, you do need ALL of the EPs listed! Jericho will not work without them.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

If the authorities knew about the raves held here, they would shut them down.

The Asylum is a derelict mental hospital situated on an island off the coast of Jericho. On the first floor, an illegal Rave Club has been set up, which proves popular with some of the locals and not so much with others.

The Asylum also has many locked rooms for your sims to explore- perhaps they will find some treasure amongst the abandoned patient files in the office, or some secrets in the treatment rooms.

The Orbit Rooms is a Showtime venue located in the New Town part of Jericho.

Your sims can watch Simfests here, or try their hand on the record decks. For the sim who prefers to stay out of the spotlight, there are games to play and a bar to buy drinks at.

Arborway Motel

Lot Zone: Base Camp

Lot Size: 40X40

Lot Value: §249400

In-Game Price: §N/A

Why slum it in a tent whilst on vacation, when you can slumber in luxury? The Arborway Motel, part of the Easy-Sleazy (TM) chain, is sure to deloght you with its fluffy pillows and gourmet food. Built to the specifications of the great Nathaniel Raas, the Arborway Motel is sure to please even the most discerning traveller! If only the rest of Jericho was so comfortable.

Arborway Motel is a base camp lot. This means that if your sims play Jericho as a Vacation destination with Twallan's Traveler Mod, they will stay at this lot when visiting. Arborway Motel has all of the luxuries a vacationing sim can want, including an adventure board from which to gain opportunities.

Your sims can also visit this lot if you play Jericho as a base world- they can use all of the beds and facilities, and gain homeworld opportunities from the adventure board.

In the base world, tourists like to stay at the Arborway motel, too.

Is there anyone living in this lighthouse cottage? It looks lived in, but there seems to be no-one home.

It looks like an ideal place for smugglers, with its secluded beach and basement dive well leading from... well, if you got here, you must know where you came from!

Your sim has to explore Jericho to find the dive well that connects to the one in the basement of this lot.

An exciting new development in Old Town! Brought to you by the Old Town rejuvenation Project.

Fulmar is a modern building situated on the bank of the Kaen-Garen river in the Old Town part of Jericho. It is one in the 'Seabird' development.

Fulmar has an innovative design, with ground floor office space and first floor living. There is a roof which affords extensive views across the river to the New Town.

The Old Town residents were dismayed when the 'Seabird' development began. This marks the encroachment of the new ways onto their sacred soil!

This looks great. I love Jericho, and expect to love the update. You do say that both worlds, Jericho original, and Jericho Pets/SHT can be installed, but when I downloaded the world, the file name (from 4Shared, I'm lazy) is the same. I just want to check with you prior to installing, but does the new Jericho show up with a unique name on the world list when loading a game? If not, how can I determine which version I'm loading to start a game?

Thank you all for downloading and commenting, I appreciate it!

@justinsims3- Can you rephrase that? I'm not sure if you are asking for caravans, or commenting on the caravans or what!

@eskie227- Good question, I've updated the front page with some more detail. Basically, if you install them both then the last one you install will show up as 'Jericho{1}' in the world list:

You can tell which is which by reading the descriptions. The Showtime version looks like this and has 'Showtime Update' in the description:

The original version looks like this:

Your savegame will only work on the world they were created with, so there is no way you could load the wrong one. I hope that's clarified things!

Thank you all for downloading!

Let the poor guy rest for a weekend .

I'm thrilled he did this, given the need for creating new venues from the ground up. Hopefully, SN (BTW, is that the final, agreed to abbreviation?) and SEA won't require building such new venues to keep Jericho on the bleeding edge of sim world development.
