Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.

Hello! This home is actually the second that I have uploaded here entitled 'Inspiration'. The whole point of these homes is that these fall in line with what I would consider to be my own dream home, hence why this one is called 'Total Dream'. Also, my ideas of my own dream home evolve with time and so they provide an interesting insight into what I'm thinking at the time. However, one thing that hasn't changed with time is that I don't particularly dream of living in a huge house - something decently large, yes, and architecturally interesting, but not huge.
This is probably the toughest build that I've attempted throughout my building attempts in the Sims series. This lot features split levels on both the ground floor and the first story, as well as including a basement and other interesting uses of the CFE cheat around the lot. It costs £124,192 and is on a 3x3 lot.

Playtested: Yes! thank you to my test Sim, 'Trial Run', for living in this home for 3 full Sim days and helping me to find niggly little issues and fix them!

Lot Size: 3x3

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

I think this is my favourite house from you. Although I think I would have added a dining table somewhere and not put such large windows in the bathroom. But love it all the same

Nice house! How did you do the tilted roof? I once knew how to do that, but forgot it, and now i cannot find tutorials about it...

Hey Original_Dutch, it's really quite a simple (albeit log winded) process once you familiarise yourself with a cheat known as CFE. Here's a tutorial by armiel about how to use it:

Hope you get on alright with it.

Great job, I really like the whole compact layout of the house! In this house will be living a grandmother, a mother, and a daughter whose father had passed. The basement will be suited to the grandmother's needs, thank you for this upload :)

Ok, is that really basement windows looking into the pool?! I've lost the link to the tutorial on how to do this and no one on the MTS forum has responded. Please please point me to the place with the instructions ♥
