Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Welcome to my newest Project, called "City Life".
Its a while ago since i began to build this Apartment complex. I worked nearly a half year to get it ready, although i planed to build this Lot without Island paradies at first, because there are nothing included of it. Whatever, its ready now, so i hope you will like it =)

Alltogether there are 8 Houses (one Twin House which is empty). Three of them are livable houses for your sims. The rest are reserved for NPCs or are Public Rooms.
How many of the NPCs should live there you can decide by clicking "ctrl+Shift" on the doors with hidden rooms (make sure that "TestingCheatsENabled true" is activated) Choose "NPC Door" to let an NPC live there.
If you think there could be more livable Areas, you can arrange it without a Problem, because there is still enough Floors for your own Creativity

There are following livable Apartments and/or NPC Apartments

A Single Sim /NPC Apartment Building

A Couple/NPC Apartment Building

A Family/NPC Apartment Building with Basement Garage

Only NPC Apartment (one Floor)

Public

Chinese Restaurant with upper NPC Apartment

A Night Club with Basement Garage

The Chinese Restaurant and The Night Club are labled as public rooms. That means, Visitor have access to the rooms and can interact with everything in it. The only thing thats different to Community Lots is, that the bar for example is without Staff, just for self-service =)

Lot is fully furnished and contains no custom content. You need All Big Expansion Packs till Island Paradies

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Is it zoned as residential with a park stage. Does it all work?

I love it! The buildings really express themselves and even without sims in them, i can pretty much see their story already. Brilliant work!

This is really beautiful. How does it work ? Can you have it zoned as residential and have the stage and nightclub working properly? Anyway thanks a lot. I'm gonna test it right away.

These look amazing! I was just wondering, how necessary are all the expansion packs? I don't have ambitions, late night, world adventures or supernatural installed. Will there just be some items missing, or will they lots not work at all? Thanks, and congratulations again on the lots, they are stunning!

i think the number of all EPs you dont have installed, are too much. The Whole Nightclub is from Latenight for example. But you can try to install and try to replace that things with others if it works at all.

I swear I was looking for apartments before, and I didn't see this one! It looks amazing, and I'm going to play it ASAP.

I'm a bit confused, though. Are all three apartments listed included as livable spaces?

no just a few apartments in one Building are livable space for NPCs, but you can choose more or less, just what you like.

yes, they are still one household but can live separate. The NPCs like you already sayed live in the locked NPC apartments for their own. The nightclub is just labled for "community", so visitors can interact with all stuff in this area. Unfortunately the game just let you play only one family in one lot, so you have to split your sims manualy and play them alltogether. With this Building i just wanted to give the feeling for living in the city, although it isnt really possible =)
