Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
All of my previous houses have been American houses, so I wanted to make a house from my own neighborhood for a change. I picked a house model that is quite common in Norway, very many Norwegians pick some variation of this house when building a home. The general shape of the house has been around since the 80's, but this house is a modern, 2000s house. Since most new houses in my neighborhood are built on hills, I wanted to make the house elevated, but still keep the lot flat. Therefore, I simply elevated the backyard, and made sure that the slopes around it where covered in mulch, trees and bushes in order to make it look realistic. Traditional color schemes for Norwegian houses are red, yellow and white, but nowadays most people paint their houses white. Being tired of white houses, I wanted the house to look different, but not stand out too much, so I painted it black with some white trim.

The entrance is in the basement. The basement contains a TV-room, a gym and a large bathroom with a separate spa/sauna area. The former rooms can be converted into bedrooms if needed.
First floor features an open plan, with kitchen, dining area and living room being separated by wall segments. There is also a bathroom by the staircase.
Second floor contains three bedrooms and one small bathroom.

The yard is pretty large, with some nice landscaping. Attached garages aren't common in Norway, so there is a detached garage in front of the house. The house also has a large wrap-around patio for barbecuing and such.

The entire house is fully furnished with what I believe is pretty Norwegian interior architecture. Hope you like it!

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

This is seriously spot on! As a Norwegian, I'm impressed. Looking at these pictures felt like walking into a neighbor's house. The dark tiled floors in the halls, the super dark bathroom walls and floors, and that one spare room that you don't know what to do with... Fantastic work!
