Inspired by the application foundation provided in a recent contest , I decided to make a small series of homes all under 25k with the same guidelines as the contest.

Second time is the charm, I hope! The first came out a bit too heavy on the hippie side, so I think this one struck more of a balance for the eclectic Rhodes family. You will find they have plenty to do inside the home for those rainy days and late evenings with the bonus of a flower crafting bench and hydroponic garden, along with the items they wanted. Being a family that likes to frequent flea markets, you will find both bedrooms have little trinkets they have picked up here and there. The home also featured old wood floors, reclaimed brick, colored barn panels and weathered wood paneling to cater to their needs of recycled materials. You'll find they like to be connected to nature by letting ivy grow in the bedroom and the natural stone shower. The fridge and couch may be worn, but are still ever so useful even if they were "found" on the way home.

This home has:
  • All the requirements under the spoiler tag - 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom, garden plots, fruit tree, flamingos, and dedicated creative spaces for painting, pottery and sewing.
  • Fire alarm, burglar alarm and phone.
  • Small pond for fishing. (Bonus: No one will be able to steal your lawn gnome! )
  • Sitting area and backyard flower garden.
  • Compost bin and covered back porch.

No CC was used, but all EPs/SPs are installed.

I would suggest getting the wonderful Diagonal Easel Mod for the easel to be used in that position, but you can always straighten it and still have space to stand if you would rather not have that.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

This is awesome. I just love the ivy in the bathroom, and a really pretty house it is, so it is going into my game at once The mannequin is a very nice touch next to the sewing machine.

Super, SUPER creativity!! I love the hobby corners and the shabby pieces and the bold colours and the deck chair corner and the crazy gnome pond and the perfect windows... You took this one to the very edge of too much, but it all comes together gorgeously. I can really see the work you've been putting into these lots! ^_^

I am not even sure where to begin with this house. I love the "gnome island". LOL! The flowers in the back look amazing! I also love the artistic area! The climbing ivy above the shelf in one of the rooms was a very nice touch as well. You did an amazing job and I can't wait to play yet another one of your amazing homes! Thank you!

@Debby1957 - Thank YOU for taking the time to say "thank you", hehe.
@SapphireSunrise - You're so welcome! While one of my "quirky" homes probably, I'm happy to see some love for it. I enjoy "gnome island " too. Haha, no one is stealing him!
