Family Home - Fixer Upper - No CC!

A gift for Michelle. I know, right - wow, she gives some crappy gifts. Plan A was a CC filled wonder. This is Plan B, a CC free fixer upper.

This... *ahem* charming home is right under the 25k mark and has space for two parents, a baby/toddler and a child/teen. Although the wallpaper is worn, faded and downright missing in some areas, don't let that distract from the fact that it has ample space in the living room for keeping everyone entertained and happy. There is a TV, dartboard, radio, dollhouse and bookcase. Even a desk for homework or that *free* PC.

The kids may have to share a room, but rest assured there is a divider in place so that your older child won't be disturbed by the younger one waking up or playing with toys. There is a shared closet and the elder child also has a toybox all their own next to the bed (not in screenshot below).

The kitchen is small, but functional and there is also a bit of patio space to use a grill and enjoy the weather.

The parents room has all the necessities along with an all too important alarm clock to make sure they don't miss a day of work, or getting the kids to the bus! To get started making money to save up for the next move (or to stay and spruce up the joint), a lemonade stand is also on the lot. (Good for stay-at-home spouses or after school gig for those kids!)

This home has:
  • 2 bedrooms.
  • 1.5 baths.
  • Fire alarm, burglar alarm, and phone.
  • Smart milk, charisma skill toy and potty to use as a toddler.
  • Small patio space with a grill, serving area and dining area.
  • Minimal landscaping to keep the cost inside rather than outside!

No CC was used, but all EPs/SPs are installed.

Lot Size: 2x2
Lot Price (furnished): 24998

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

That's really cute for a fixer upper. I didn't know there were dirty walls and torn wallpaper in the game.

@SciBirg - Haha, the bathrooms especially! That would be the FIRST upgrade, no doubt! Thanks for the comment, I'd love to do more of these.
@lorinsv60 - Thank you so much! At the very least there is a goal to work towards - fixing the house!

Oh hun! I love it, thank you very much. Even though it will be very hard not to get the bleach out, especially for the bathroom and toilet, at last I have a permanent place for taking my grunge screenshots. Heading off right now to install it, also going to check out that teal wall...never seen that before.

@sandya - Haha, I know! It's certainly not as bad as I could have made it! The doors and most furniture at least look like they are new and not hand me downs. Yes, I was surprised at what I could find building CC free. Give it a go! (...and thanks for the compliment!)

@Michelle - Yay! *success pose* I'm glad you like it and will have use of it. It's hard for me to keep my poverty stricken Sims as such too, but it must be done! Yeah, there are definitely some hidden gems in the wallpapers should you have the time to go through them one.by.one. *sighs* You're so welcome, enjoy for all you do!

I like this a lot. Well done, and authentic. One thing EA forgot to give us though..moldy/stained carpet! Isn't it the first thing that gets ruined? ;) Good job. :)

@Rosebine - Haha, YES! I wish they had thought about stained carpets! It really is the first thing to go, just look at how much the carpet cleaner gets used here. Thank you for the comment!

@Chaavik - Thank you for the compliment! I hope you enjoy it, and I hope to make more.

@yavannatw - Most definitely, haha! Thank you for the comment!

This is another nice house. My poor sims usually start out in trailer homes. This one is good for a change of pace.
