Thank you so much for this I've been trying to get an amber/yellow eye for my sim but yours is the first one that actually works as a selection.

~ These are beautiful & I would love to use them but they are not default as they have a wrench!

Well in that sense no, these eyes aren't truly 'default', but they are still effectively default replacements, as the default replacement versions of my eyes will override the base game eye textures and show up instead. In that way, they'll automatically be applied to every sim in every save you have without the need to edit each household in CAS to use them. If there's a gender or age that one (or more) of the textures is not showing up for, please let me know and I'll get it fixed and update the files on here.

If the wrench icon still bothers you as an aesthetic thing, AOM made mods to remove (or replace if you'd prefer) the wrenches from swatches and catalog thumbnails here: http://sims4studio.com/thread/4254/aom?page=2. This is a link to a forum of all their cc, so you'll have to scroll down to the bottom to find it. At the time of linking this, the mod is the second post from bottom of the page, and they're currently updated to the Strangerville patch.

Hope this helps!

Hi! Really like these. Were you considering making any for vampires, mermaids, pets, and aliens? I only ask because I've been trying to find the same creator for different eye releases. Would love to see them if you do! :)

Thanks! I'm really glad you like the eyes! I'm 100% planning on making eyes for all occult life states and pets, but I've had to put those plans on hold for a bit. My health isn't so great right now and it's significantly limited how much I can use my computer (hour a day at most). Hopefully it'll be resolved relatively soon, though I can't say when for sure; it could be within a week or two or as long as a month. I like having matching sets of cc for things like eyes too, so it will definitely get done .

Thanks! I'm really glad you love these eyes!
I really really want to work on the next few sets, but I still haven't been physically well enough to do pretty much any work beyond planning out designs on paper as I still can't use my computer or sit up for very long due to headaches. Since the last update I posted, I do know for sure what I have (intracranial hypertension), and I am being treated for it, but I'm not getting better as quickly as I was originally hoping I would. My neurologist said it's nothing alarming or unusual, it sometimes just takes some people longer to recover than others. Unfortunately for me it's looking like it's going to take longer, probably at least another month based off of my current condition.

I am still 100% planning on making the rest of the default replacements though! Like I mentioned, I have started planning out designs for the occult eyes on paper, so when I am able to use my laptop regularly enough to draw again, I'll have a bit of a head start

I adore these eyes, but sadly the default replacements have now broken in the June 2020 patch and need to be updated . Any chance you will revisit these?

Hey everyone! In case copperIIsulfate doesn't have the chance to fix these, CMar's eye fixer repaired them for me! I use the default replacement/default additional colors and they all seem to be working now

Thank you so much for these eyes <3 they've made everyone in my game look so much better, I rarely use anything else!

I really love these eyes but the june patch broke them. I tried the above solution, but it didn't work for me. Anyone know how I can fix the mesh/texture for the eyes? I have about 5 colors that still have the CC. The rest of the colors are base game texture.

oh my gosh I take it back about the fix not working, I realized the reason it failed was I tried to fix them as I would defaults when these are not technically. try fixing them with the tool as non defaults and they should work. in case you're looking for a fix I do have a fixed version of this file if anyone wants it, if the creator doesn't mind.

Hey everyone, sorry for the super long absence. I wrote a journal post about it that goes into detail, but the short summary is that it took me way longer to recover from intracranial hypertension than anyone thought it would, and the process was far more exhausting both physically and mentally than I could have imagined it would be, so ultimately this was all side-lined. In hindsight I would have said I needed to go on hiatus indefinitely. Again, sorry for not being more transparent.

I don't mind people sharing fixed versions at all! I do plan on updating these, but I've run into a glitch that causes pixelation/crunching with the texture that I didn't notice before (if you look in the pictures of the post, you can see there is a grid pattern, especially in the scleras) because they are pixelated more often than not, but then a few swatches looked way better when I took all hair/clothes/etc. off of a sim. I need to do more testing, but so far I've found both cc and EA parts cause pixelation, the latter even when I remove all cc from my game except the eyes themselves. Strangely, a swatch that still worked as RLE2 for me and looked fine unless a CAS part was crunching it, is now always pixelated when converted to LRLE. I would prefer to release the fix for this and update to LRLE together, but if I can't figure it out soon I'll go ahead put out the LRLE update.

While I know a lot of people still like these eyes, I am personally not satisfied with them anymore, so I am not planning on adding matching eyes for different life states. I won't take them down and I'll keep them functional, but that's it. I am planning on making a new set of eyes (more info in my journal), but currently have no clue when those will come to fruition, as there's still a good amount of work to do and a lot of things up in the air in my life right now.

Many thanks to everyone who has downloaded these eyes and left comments! It means a lot to me to see people enjoying my work, so (again) I am really sorry for not giving an update sooner.
