Is your sim feeling a little too flush these days? Need to hide spend some simoleons before tax day cometh? Fret no more, I have just what you need:

For a mere $352,651 (Obviously, this is NOT real life here folks, am I right?) Your sim can have three magnificent floors of "Old World" elegance. The third floor features attic space with 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms designed with live-in staff and servants in mind. Floor plans for the first and second floor are shown directly below; and the basement level includes your own private bowling alley, pool hall, gym area with sauna, and "The Grotto" - an outdoor lounge with grill, dining tables and a comfortable conversation area.

Please scroll through all the included pictures to see everything this luxurious residence has to offer.

This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer. Invisible smoke alarms are over the kitchen stove and grotto grill. The telephones are centrally located on the walls, one in the kitchen, others at each stairway landing - each level has a phone. There is a burglar alarm by the front door. Decorations and furniture are included (there is plenty of room to add more, I did not over-decorate!) I used most all of the game's higher end furnishings and all the items from the "Art Nouvealicious" EA Store Stuff (link below) - feel free to change things around to suite the needs/tastes of your sims.

A lot more CC than I expected snuck it's way into this build! I just couldn't help it - sorry! However, I must say, all this CC has been in my game since 2008... so it really doesn't feel like CC to me anymore. *sigh* Please let me know if I left anything out. I really think I got everything, but ya never know...

CC list - used but NOT included - so, GO get it:
EAxis Store: Art Nouveaulicious Set now housed at GoS
EAxis Store: Asian Fusion Collection also at GoS - I only used one thing - the Cherry Blossom Plant
Maxis Official Pre-Order BONUS Items updated and fixed - housed at MATY. I used the GloStation 90XD (upscale computer) and WallTunes Speaker System (stereo) from EP8-AptLife
Maxoid Archive Items Decorative Egg Topiary
LaFenetre Add-On Set by Windkeeper @ TSR - specifically, you will need the full size 1T door and window
LaFenetre Arched Set by Windkeeper @ TSR - specifically, you will need the LaFenetre arched window and the 2T arched window (not the Belangie ones or the diagonals)
2T Round LaFenetre Window by Windkeeper @ TSR
Recolorable Shinto Stairs by HL @ MTS2 - though these are not used on the lot, they are needed for the open underneath stairs to work properly.
Sweeping Stairs fix by HugeLunatic @ Sims2Artists
Sweeping Stairs REC in twig by Shastakiss @ Sims2Artists
Winchester Grey Weathered REC of wooden stairs (Numenor) by iCad @ MTS2
Winchester Grey Weathered REC of Midnight Ride window by iCad @ MTS2
Winchester Grey Weathered REC of Double Eloquence door by iCad @ MTS2
Invisible Driveway by Sophie-David @ MTS2

...and if you have missing wallpaper/flooring, then you'll need Lifestyle Build Bundle - It's the second link in the top post - extracted from Lifestyle Stories by Argon @ MATY. I use wallpapers and floors from this set all the time and can't remember what came with the game and what came from this add-on.

Custom Content Included:
- Maxis Flight of Fancy/Storybook Modular Stairs - made recolorable by Huge Lunatic (HL) @ MTS2 - no script file needed as these override the original stairs.
- Maxis Flight of Fancy/Storybook Modular Stairs - open underneath by Huge Lunatic (HL) @ MTS2 - these do need a script file so follow the link and make sure you install them properly!
- Maxis Shinto/Step Into A World Stairs - open underneath by Huge Lunatic (HL) @ MTS2 - these do need a script file so follow the link and make sure you install them properly!
- Invisiblesmokealarm by pfish @ MTS2
- Backless Cheap Shower and Tub/combo Shower by Huge Lunatic (HL) @ MTS2
- Corner Wooden Modular Stairs by Spaik/slaved by HL @ Sims2Artists
- Tiny ceiling light by Senesi2003 @ MTS2
- Mini-pediment fence 1 by Macarossi @ MTS2
- Werkbundst Tek sofa by LeeFish @ NixedSims WordPress
- Rocking chair by Nysha (Honeywell and Beck) @ MTS2
- Maxis Pre-Order Bonus from SP4/Celebration: Cascades Chandelier, now hosted at MATY
- Winchester Grey Weathered REC of storybook stairs by iCad @ MTS2
- LaFen?tre Smooth-top Windows and Sliding Door by tBudgett @ MTS2

Standard mods I use that are not necessary nor included - but were probably used whilst building/photo-ing/prepping this house for upload...
I use Moi's Roof Shader for brighter roofs
Maranatah's White Wall Top texture replacement
Moo's Turn On/Off Lights
Menaceman's Lunatech Lighting Fix
BeosBoxBoy's no-red-pause-mod
Nopke's Go Under Spiral Stairs mod for proper spiral stair usage
And, of course, everyone needs Numenor's CEP and SEP!
I also use FRAPs to take in-game pictures, and PhotoShop to clean/collage said pictures.
And, I highly recommend using gummilutt's Invisible Medicine Cabinet to add features to any mirror - as per her policy, it's not used or included in this lot.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

WOW this is so beautiful! Love the "Grotto" area. That front hall and the big windows in the front are great. Thank you

Hey!! So I downloaded this lot and all of the CC needed for it, but when I placed it in my neighborhood and clicked on it my screen just kept loading and loading.... for over 10 minutes. I eventually had to ctrl+alt+delete it and close out the Sims that way. Any idea why that could be?

I've had that happen before after installing new CC. Here's a few things you can try...
- With the new CC installed, try loading a house you've successfully played before. If that works, try loading this one again.
- Make sure all the new CC was installed correctly (like the stairs - did you get their script files?)
- Maybe the download corrupted itself? So, try redownloading - and reinstalling JUST the house (with the Sims2Pack Installer.) Then, bulldoze the first one and put down the new one before trying to enter again.

Good luck! Let me know how it goes

Thank you so much! I'll try this when I get home. I bet it was the scripts files for the stairs - for some reason I didn't think I needed them. Thanks again!

A practical and well-considered mansion. Not too many of those. Great job!
