Looks good but I wouldn’t call this modern. The OG map tags in 2009 were also flat and very similar to your mod. You can see them in the “Lessons” pictures.

Thank you so much for this mod! Goes perfectly with my enhanced UI! Also reminds me of the old TS3 icons which I miss! Thanks a lot! <3

Hey there!

Thank you for this amazing creation. Sadly it doesn't work as good for me. I put all sorts of mods that could come in question to replace the exact same texture files as your mod out, but it always shows like it does on the screenshot I provided at the bottom of this post. The caches are always deleted after playing and, as I said, I removed all kind of mods that could possibly interfere with yours. Another user I talked to even told me they removed ALL mods to see but if it works but they came to the same result as me in the screenshot.

What particularly struck me was that it only affects the commercial lot, jobs and house icons.

Maybe you have an idea. Thanks!

Hello Kevinsko!
I'm sorry to hear that you have trouble playing Sims normally. The game itself has so much problems and without that. To fix your problem you should try :
1. Uninstall all of your CC you have via the game launcher.
2. Make a fresh copy of the game's data folder - rename the The Sims 3 folder to whatever you want (it's located usualy in C:\User\XXX\Documents\Electronic Arts). The game will regenerate it and then you have clean data folder. Your mods, saves and other stuff will remain in the old one that you have renamed already (backup folder).
3. Move your data from the backup folder to the new one (mods, saves, downloads) and then install your CC again.
4. Delete all the cache files as listed in my post including the files with .temp extension after the new CC installation These files will be generate after every CC installation, located in DCCache folder.
5. For checking if you have other mods conflict you should try Sims 3 Dashboard tool.
6. Try to merge mods that have similar functions to save storage space and to run the game smoother.

Or the problem comes from the Clean UI itself - I don't know. I'm playing with the dafault UI and I don't have such a problem.

I tried everything you mentioned here and on top of that I started my game with nothing but your modern map tag package and sadly the issue persists. I have no idea what it could be since I can see how it works in your preview screenshots. Very odd. Nonetheless I wanna thank you for the assistance and the fast reply! As soon as I find out what it could be I'll inform you.

Hi vesko, thank you for making this mod. The screenshots make the map tags look much more clean and updated!

However, I may have figured out why the icons don't appear on the tags. When I compared the ATLAS_MapTagColors_00 file in FullBuild0 with S3PE (EA's Version) and the Modern Map Tags package, EA's version has the dimensions set to 256 x 512 for the file whereas your file has the dimensions set to 2044 x 4088. This means that the icons won't appear because the icons are too large to be presented. So, I put the icons onto a 256 x 512 dimension, and I noticed that there was still a similar issue occurring. But, I could see multiple icons on one specific tag and tags with no icons. I think the icons can only be edited on top of EA's version and can't be completely changed to have every expansion. Yet, I am not sure how you would edit all the icons for every expansion without the icons glitching.

Scaling ATLAS_MapTagColors_00 file in S3PE from 2044 x 4088 to 256 x 512

Without removing ATLAS_MapTagColors_00 in S3PE
With removing ATLAS_MagTapColors_00 in S3PE

Hello guys,
I'm really sorry that you have problem with my mod. The mistake here were mine, not in you! As cherry3 said the ATLAS_MapTagColors_00 image file was with bigger pixel dimension than the original 512x1024px and that messed up a lot. That happened because I was doing a version of the file in illustrator and then I've exported it with wrong dimension. I didn't test it before uploading it here - the version I've installed in my game is diffrent. I recommend to install the fix I've uploaded recently.
Anyways stay tuned for other enhancements on this mod!

Hello PieceCake,
do you have install the latest version of the mod? The original one has that problem, as shown in the screenshot. The version I uploaded yesterday is a fix that solves this.
Hope this helps!

These look great for me and I'm using the clean UI. It feels nice to freshen up the game with a cleaner look. Skimming over the comments it seems I got to start with the update version. Thanks for taking the time to figure out the issue! Looking forward to any other updates you might make.

Hello vesko ! Thank you for this mod ! I wanted to make a question to you: I'm using this mod on my game and I wanted to change the colors to be more pastel (like pink for community lots), this would be for personal use, do you think this is possible and if so which one of the "circles"/icons on the images from your mod should I change ? Again, thanks and congratulations on this release, you did a very good job !

Hello Renatinha R,
I'm glad you like my mod! Of course you can do a recolor for yourself. The latest update I did some work to make the icon more darker, but you can change them by lowering the contrast of the main icon in ATLAS_MapTagColors_00 or to desaturate the icon colors to make them pastel look from ATLAS_MapTagColors_01. If you have Nraas Tagger there is an option that you can change the color of some tags but I'm not really sure that it works with my mod.

Hello Vesko! Commenting to give you a little feedback: Nraas Tagger works perfectly with your mod , the new icons use your textures. However, I tried to change the background color of the map icons by editing ATLAS_MapTagColors_00 and ATLAS_MapTagColors_01, but I was unsuccessful. The icons continued to have the same colors (red for rabbitholes and blue for community lots), but changing the ATLAS_MapTag_00 file changed the color of all the icons (to pink in this case). However, I would like to have different colors for each icon, for example making the community lots use a pastel aqua blue. I tried changing the MapTagColors LAYO values to see if anything happened and it didn't work either. Does the game generate these colors through some script like Nraas Tagger does? Or do you know another method?

Hello,
I'm glad you got around to coloring - they really good with that pretty pink UI. I did the coloring by opening the images in Photoshop. You can change them via Camera Raw Filters in Photoshop by making them more bright and lower down the color saturation or vibrance.
