Today I present to you a nice house for all your "handyman" sims. This old building used to be an office building, but the company went bankrupt and abandoned the place. After sitting downtown for a few years, it's finally up for sale, but not all of the old furniture has been moved out. The first floor has the main hallway, a big empty room, and a staff room fully equipped with fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. The second floor was where the offices were, and there's a bathroom there too. There are still desks in the old offices, and you might be able to find an old computer sitting on the ground.

It's not fancy, but this huge loft is the perfect project for all the hardworking sims out there who can turn it into a beautiful home. Also, it could be the perfect location for a business, and can be renovated to turn into a factory or store! Use your imagination, people.

As always, this was built on the smallest lot size. No expansion packs needed. There is 1 bit of custom content, though, the fabulous laptop computer by RedStorm, available at MTS2 here.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Hooray for minimalism . This is a refreshing contrast to the mungo-mansions on 4x5 lots. You have provided the basic site. Now we just add imagination! Thank you!

Imagine a world without hypothetical situations

I'm so glad people "get" the concept I was trying to push with this lot - it can be anything you want, while looking stylishly industrial at the same time.

NOTE: Since I'm a stupid wanker, none of the clothing uploads I've created work (they're the bitmaps and mesh instead of the complete clothing file). If you're smart enough, go ahead and re-assemble the parts, or just wait for me to update my clothes. Many apologies.

Wow, this is great! It doesn't require any exp. packs? Good I only have the regular Sims 2 and it's hard to find houses (especially ones I really really want) that don't require NL or UNI. Thanks a lot!

Everybody else has already said it, but it is definitely refreshing to see something less ornate and more sparsely furnished than usual. I almost always prefer moving into unfurnished homes anyway, after all, esigning your own is a big part of the experience, is it not? Also, this home proves that you can fit big style and big ideas into a smaller square footage.

This is great!!! Just what I've been looking for. Not too big to slow my game down but looks bigger than it really is. It's perfect. Thanks!!
