What a good idea! I was just wondering, if you wanted you could contact Numenor and ask if she can split the textures for the stairs so that the railings can be recoloured seperately.

Can't - he uses the base wood deck stair mesh and mapping - unfortunately, the main part of the stairs is also the railing. Its a very elegant solution, until you want to get fancy :D

As for not having silly carpetted rails....you can choose wood for the side with rails, and make the stairs double/triple/etc wide. Very nice work :D
