Ingenious. Thank you so much!

I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?

I don't know, that Hunger hit the victim takes still seems a bit extreme... I agree after turning into a Vampire you now have a thirst for blood, but it seems a bit high even for that. The rest looks alright I guess though. Don't get me wrong, I VERY much like the idea, I'm just not thrilled with the values you set everything to. Great work.

This is great!! I love the fact we have vamps in the game but I just wished there was more to them game wise I mean, I would of loved a whole expansion or stuff pak more devoted to them. Anyways this is great an can't wait to try it out.. hope it will work in a subfolder if not I'll fix it. I like to keep my hacks in a subfolder alone.

I think this is great. I especially like the fact that their NEEDS take such a hit. Definitely more realistic.

Loves this but Im wondering - does everyone that get biten turn into a vampire (exept the ones that die)?

If so could you make one where there is just a small chance that you get turned?
Like if sims need are low then the sim will die and be vampire but only then?

(sorry for my bad english)

Phaenoh, i understand you. but what i meant by reducing the hunger need of the victims was not that now they are vamps and they are thirthy for blood. I did this because this way, there is a *chance* the victim will die after the bite..
I agree it drops a lot, but if it dropped less than this, it would make 0 chance of dying because even with the need this low, it's very difficult to kill a vampire (and the victims are turned into vamps immediately after the bite).
As i experimented, it seems vamps don't die of hunger. So actually the most possible way for the victims to die, is if they pass out (because of energy drop) and they can't raise the needs before the sun burns them.

I'm considering updating this later, including a random chance for the bitten to pass out, because in community lots, even with the energy drop, they will always just run home and won't pass out.

Oh, I forgot to say...

The amount of points subtracted from hunger depends on how hungry the vamp is.

In the picture of the post, the hunger bar of the victim is totally depleted after the bit, but as you can see, the vampire is very hungry. if the vampire was full, it wouldn't be so drastic. hehehe..

I included a txt file in the zip that explains exactly how many points are subtracted or added for each need.

ALSO!! i almost forgot. This mod includes plantsims. Vapires plantsims will have thei needs all raised, and victims plantsims will have the water need dropped, as explained in the TXT doc

First, I just found this when searching the Mods section for new goodies.

I really like this idea! I can't wait to try it out on my newest little vamp. I also like the ideas you have for revisions. I will be watching for what you come out with next!

Keep up the great work!

Awesome now i want to play my vamp family again. Quick question...Can the vamp sim bite anyone no matter what the relationship level or can you only just bite friends and lovers?

I did not mess with that. The bite option will act just like it always did. it will only show up to whom you have a goos relationship.

However it is tweaked so the bite interaction can not be refused by the other sim.

Can you work next on creating a custom social, or ask if someone else can if you don't know how to? The custom social I'd like is suck blood, that way the victim does not become a vampire, and the same values you used for improving the bite neck social for suck blood. If you or someone else you know of can do this then I would gladly be your\their first tester, I know this is possible because someone else made a custom social for zombies called attack of the zombie. I would again be really grateful. Thank you,
With best wishes,

It's a bit late but I just discovered this mod in my routine search for "vampires." Never saw it before and I can't wait to use it! I'm so severely disappointed with the way vampires work in game. This sounds like a "realistic" improvement. Thanks!! :D

Cyjon has created a hack that in my game takes the Vampire Fangs away so they don't flash. So you can fix General Zoi's fangs and have real Vampires that don't flash.

http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=283059

Version 1 of Cyjon's Hack works with all EP's through Seasons. If you have Bon Voyage, FreeTime or Apartment Life you must DL version 2. I have tested these under several different circumstances and it is working properly for me. However I understand for some people the fangs do show normally. Under my configuration the fangs do not show but it is not a problem thanks to General Zoi.

Nice, heres an idea: how about make one that does the same as this, but doesnt make the sim a vampire, but only halfs the hunger, but keep everything else the same ^^, it would be like the vampire bit the sim, took their blood, and they passed out from blood loss. then they wake up and go fix their needs?

Looks awesome! I've been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was inspired to try some vampire sims Haven't played any of them yet because I am addicted to custom content and wanted to "vamp" up my game first... lol. Looking forward to trying them out!
