Is there a way to send money to sims that are in the Sims bin? It drives me crazy having to move them to an empty lot and then do a money cheat so they can get into a fairly basic family home. Starter homes are great, but so many times I make big families with pets. Every expansion adds new things you need to cram into the starter homes to be able to play all the new features.

Yes, there is a way, and it's very easy to do. While in the Neighborhood view, open the cheat box & type:

familyfunds "LASTNAMEOFFAMILY" xxxx

In all caps, type in the family's last name, WITHOUT the quotation marks, and where the x's are type the amount you want them to have.

Example:

Say you have the Goth family in the family bin. Type in the cheat box:

familyfunds GOTH 50000

This will give the Goth family $50,000. You can change the amount to any amount you want.

There Was A Cloned Photo Atm I Can't Find But Would Be Great I Want A Mod That Makes The Funds Accessible When They Move Out After A Divorce Or Just Want To Leave Like Uni Students Moving Back To Main Hood When In Sim Bun Instead Of Having To Move Into A Crap Hole As A Rich Sim Release The Funds And Then Move Again.

Pescado's moneyorder (MoreAwesomeThanYou.com) can wire funds to families in the Sim Bin. I use Inge's teleporter (simlogical.com) to get the person in, greet them, and then wire the money over.

Just because it has been done before in different ways does not make it a bad idea or a bad mod.

I actually prefer this mod to Pescado's chequebook and any other method, firstly because by giving money directly to someone on a lot (eg a business owner to perhaps an employee or other work colleague), there is a boost to the relationship, and also the fact that each sim can carry their own bank account rather than have money "pooled" in the family funds so they know exactly what money they've earned throughout their sim lives.

I used to use the family funds cheat for when my teen goes to college and was working before going so they can have their paychecks with them. This works even better only down side is that i can't deposit their full pay at one time but i keep track the difference from each check until it gets to the 15 amount and then deposit it.

I am backing this idea. A community lot sim bank would have been wonderful. I am tired of only community visit is for snapdragons, waterpark, or buy a pet. Restaurant boring because I could just vacation for that and have chance to meet Ninja. Clothes were inconvenient so I have shop at home rack. But community bank would be exciting.

I love this mod! I've run into one issue though: I had my Darren Dreamer deposit some money for one of his kids, and then he died of old age! When I have his son check the accounts, Darren's name is gone. Is the money gone as well because Darren died?

@squidney17 I think so. Christianlov retired from modding a few years ago and has not been on the site for about 3 years so he won't be here to answer your question. This mod is unsupported now. You might want to ask on the sims 2 board.

If you backup your Neighborhood and NeighborhoodManager.package file, you can backup and restore your Wallet Tokens if you install an expansion or need to make any changes to your mod/download folder that might cause you to lose Wallet tokens.
