jaccinati: There are no tutorials at this time, but it's actually fairly easy to do.

Just use the CAS Slider Template to make the template package file.
Then open up said package file, and extract the BoneDelta (or set your S3PE up via Helpers.txt to auto open the BoneDelta tool for those types)
Using the BoneDelta editor, pick the Bone and adjust the scale, offset and so on.

Just remember to do it for both Left and Right, and that it's English only.

I am trying to alter leg and butt shape on the sims and I have tried to follow these instructions exactly as they appear but I am not getting anywhere save for ending up with sims with heads the size of a hot air balloon!

As mentioned here, I used CAS Slider Editor to create a CAS slider template. I have no idea what to put in for "String" so I left it blank and went on through. The file was created but when I try to open it I get a message window generated by the Sims 3 program asking me to double click to install - just a generic message when you try to open any Sims file in my experience! So basically how do you open your CAS slider package file?

The Bone Delta Editor is also confusing me - what are the ranges? What scale do you use? Every time I have a go I end up opening Sims and then closing it again before having another go at the slider.

I am missing important information here and I don't know what to ask in order to fill in the gaps! The experienced users seem to have no problem with the programs but for someone like myself who has little understanding of this sort of editing....

You should fill something in the string. Like "LegTest" or something like that.

You need to open the package file with S3PE, then extract the various chunks out to use in the various programs - ie the VPXY with the VPXY editor etc.

As for the ranges, well, a 1.0 means double the current value. Most of the time you only want to increase things by, say, 0.015 or something like that.

Hi. Thanks for these.

I know no one has posted for a while but I didn't know where else to put this. Is there a tutorial yet to use these to make bone based sliders? I've looked around for one but with no luck. I'm really new at this stuff so it would be great to have step by step instructions. I read the ones above but, like markymarkspark, I just can't seem to make it work. I made a couple geom based face sliders but I have a few in mind for the body that haven't been done yet.

Thanks. I'm really exited about making my own body sliders. I thought I would just post and see if more in-depth instructions were possible.

Pretty sure somebody had a more detailed tutorial out there... but the basics are fairly easy.

Once you have your CAS Slider setup, open up the bone file, and add a bone to the list (just do one for now), then in the boxes, fill in 1.00 for everything. Once you commit and save this, load the slider in the game, and test it out. It's really just a question of knowing which bones link to what, and what proportions are good...

No offense, but if you don't know how to extract a rar file, you probably shouldn't be trying to use these editors....

The Clavicle bones seem to be missing from your Bone Delta Editor, anyway to add them? I've been trying myself, but can't find the hash names of the bones.

This space intentionally left blank...

Hi Delphy!
Please need your help!
in 2010, using your editor CASSliderTemplate.exe and BoneDeltaEditor.exe made for their Sims sliders for legs and thighs, and buttocks!
used as a model Jonha_Sliders! it worked fine before the patch 1.26 pets!
after update 1.26 and then 1.29 - sliders that use bone "Pelvis" hash = "556B181A", began to work with distortion - the legs are moved to the side, while the leg bones, I do not touch! in the game it looks - Sims slides his feet, his legs fail with a little animation and more. particularly strongly noticeable when a Sim is dancing!
other sliders that do not have bones "Pelvis", including yours, such as chest, and legs
correction - works fine - distortions are almost invisible!
I KNOW that EA have made significant changes to the animation of animals, with the object and so on!
------
By the way addon pets not installed - he me do not like! The patch is worth it 1.29 Master Suite Stuff Pack!
-----
but what can you do to have two sliders work just as it should - without distortion? slider width of hips and buttocks the size of the slider?! bone, "Pelvis". tried different values of the scale and offset - does not work. tried to add a separate slider for the feet to restore their position - does not work.
I think it is necessary to modify, update the program to create a slider -
CASSliderTemplate.exe, so that it takes into account changes in the patch 1.26/1.29.
really looking forward to your help and tips on how to remove the distortion! Please!

PS. I'm from Russia and the English do not know, I write through the translator by Google! sorry!

Problem with CASSliderTemplate
When I tried to follow a tutorial for bone based sliders, I ran into a major problem : for some reason, the Bone Slider Editor couldn't open my new slider's BOND files! After that, I tried to import the BOND of another bone based custom slider and it actually worked so I took a look more closely at my new package's files and I realised that for some reason, CASSliderTemplate actually gave me a package with broken BONDs and VPXYs! Everytime I try to make a new one, it still happens and both editors are in different folders. I searched everywhere on Google for a solution but I found nothing

Edit: Just discovered that it only happens when both genders are linked.
