Just a suggestion, but have you thought about making a shiftable version as well?

I have been using these to liven up the clubs in Bridgeport.

Hullo!

I was just going through my old collection of "downloaded but never installed" files and came across this, and ran into the same question when noticing all of the separate files that are more or less exactly the same with the exception of the height they are installed at.

Fortunately, making a shiftable version yourself is easy-peasy!

1) Load up LED Lights 5.package in S3PE (this one is about 75% up the wall by design, so it's perfect for making it the shiftable one out of the bunch).
2) Find the only OBJD resource in the file and click on it.
3) At the bottom of the screen, click on the Grid button.
4) Click on the arrow next to WallPlacementFlags to expand the list.
5) Click on [11] CanBeMovedUpAndDownWall and change it to True.
6) Click on [0F] IntersectsObjectsOffWall and change it to False.

Works great! It can be a little difficult to get everything lined up, but aside from needing the #0 light for the space between floors, you can shift it up and down the wall, holding Alt to get it even closer to the floor, and can add as many lights to a single wall location as you want without needing to turn on the moveobjects cheat (the lights will collide with each other so you can't make them pass through each other). If you find it difficult to add a light to a piece of wall that already has a lot of lights on it, you can put it on a nearby wall to "preadjust" it, and then move it back to the piece of wall where you want it.

I never tried getting all 20 LEDs on a single wall tile, and to be honest I don't think you'd be able to, but I added 8 from the floor to around counter height (all #5 lights, shifted manually) before I decided things were working great.

I know it's been a while since any updates have been made to this mod, but since wall lights were made shiftable as of... I forget what EP... maybe you could simplify this down to three or less height options.

Never mind. Either I was mistaken as to the shiftablility of these lights, only one of them is shiftable or a patch borked something because a few other things that used to be shiftable no longer are.

Human beings are a very irrational species. Some of them are even afraid of pickles.
