This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.

This download is part of the Medieval Creator Challenge
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.

This set includes 55 Open/Closed Business Signs and 54 matching Hanging Signs. These classic wooden signs feature etched images that encompass a variety of trades and business types suitable for themed hoods such as Medieval, Ancient, Western, Victorian, Fantasy and Modern Rural.

The Open/Closed Business Signs are all clones of the original, meaning they are their own unique object (not a recolor). There are 54 wooden signs plus an invisible version. The invisible sign is great for outdoor businesses like an open market or other type where a sign might not look appropriate. The wooden signs contain the same image whether open or closed so that they may be used all the time as a decorative business sign. The cost is $0 and they may be found under Decorative -> Miscellaneous.

The Hanging Signs are all recolors and will be found with the original sign in the Decor section of the catalog.

UPDATE 7/14/10: - Added Pawnbroker's OFB and Hanging signs by request.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

These are really nice, thanks. I think they'd go great in my little French village aswell as my medieval towns. Great job!

The etchings are pretty, but the invisible is my favorite because as you said, masssively useful for outdoor lots, or any business where you don't want a visible sign.

Ty Sunni For making these signs. I have been waiting along time for someone to make some signs so I could build a buisness and maybe be able to upload it on here. I do hope you make more creations for Sims 2. It seems like everyone is getting hooked on Sims 3 lately, and its becoming more harder to find more creations. Ty very much again for these signs.

What a brilliant idea! Being rid of those horribly plasticy green Open/Closed signs will be a blessing in itself. And so many beautiful options! I just love having details like this right on my medieval lots.

The only thing: I'm a bit afraid that 54 objects will clutter up the Decorate-> Miscellaneous like whoa. Was there a reason you didn't do one new object with lots of recolors?

One way or the other, thanks very much!

Alchemist- Unfortunately the OFB sign must be it's own unique object, it is not recolorable...which is probably the reason you won't find many OFB signs about. It does clutter the catalog, but I didn't expect everyone to use all of the signs, I just wanted to give lots of options for a variety of different trades/businesses.

I second the thought that they clutter up the catalog WAY too much, but I can't resist them so I will just have to live with it!
