Hi, its great that some one has been brave enough to tackle the editing of this huge string table. I thought I would try to be clever and try to add some changes of my own and then simply replace the stbl in the fullbuild. No such luck. Invocation error. Did you have any problems changing the text ? Is it just down to exact spacings or are there other things to consider ? Thanks

Ok moving on from that, I can see that the string tables have to be edited in a way different from normal text. I finally managed to use postal ( nice if this was suggested ) to open the stbl and its very easy to edit the text. However, there is no save button ! The only option is to save as a new package, which I have now done 7 times, and each time the new package only contains the original unedited file. So I give up. I'm sure it must just be me being stupid, but surely there must be an easier way to edit these files and save the changes ? Thanks.

All you do is use Namethief's STBL editor, it's easy to find in Sims 3 programs and utilites on mts, on a few pages down, instructions for how to use it are in that thread. I should let you know though that comments for downloads are not for asking how to do things, if you need to know how to do something use the creation forums, comments are for giving praise because you like a download, or if you have a problem with it not working in your game.

Thank you!!! I come from a line of Geeks and Nerds, so my mom laughed when I told her about it.

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

Could you please make one for Fast Lane? That is the one I have and I would really love to have the Star Trek sayings in my game when I load.
