Yes, it is meant to change those outfits into the school uniform. Yes, there is a way to hide them using 'hiders' (which you can search for on MTS2) or SimPE if you know how to use it.

You shouldn't be able to delete any of those outfits from within the game since they are default replacing game clothes and therefore are not custom clothing (only custom clothing can be deleted from within the game). If you were to accidentally delete this outfit in any case from within the game or from the downloads folder the game would revert to the original game mesh which has not been removed from your game. Your game is not going to be corrupted from using these clothing replacements.

That wasn't what my concern was, I simply forgot that you can't delete something without a CC star. Oh well, no worries then. I will simply get used to having 10x of the same outfits. ^^ Thanks for the quick answers!

I absolutely love your creations, especially these replacements, and I hate to bother you. But I have struggled with this a long time: How do you create a default replacement outfit? I have searched google and message boards but there doesn't seem to be anything relevant to this particular problem out there. I have problems with the cheerleader and the maid meshes that changes for other skins. Again, thank you so much for the effort you have gone to to make these, there is just the one snag left and then my game will be perfect in this regard

If you want to fix NPCs a handy program is available from http://www.simwardrobe.com/
go to "Sims 2" then "Programs" it's the first one: "Sims 2 NPC Replacer"

But sunni9676 I'm kind of curious how you did the school uniforms, i don't play medieval much (if i did this would be my FIRST download :lovestruc )and i was wanting to make my own modern school uniform defaults. Can you post a tutorial on MTS or link to where you learnt? THANKS SO MUCH YOUR WORK IS SUPER COOL.

I have a problem that shows up due to this fantastic download, but is not caused by it. I am hoping to get some help or finding and deleting the unwanted conflicting download.
So...the professor robe, school uniform, and maxi formal clothes instead of turning out all amazing like this...it is a robe...a skin colored robe... If I take this download out it goes back to maxi stuff. But I really want this stuff to show up like it is supposed to. It's showing up really awful. From the back you see the hood of this skin colored robe, and the back of the robe has the butt crease! In front it looks like a bulky robe with boob. It looks especially bad with the female uni professor....like a big bulky robe with saggy boobs. Okay it's funny, but I don't want it to stay that way!
I think, but can't tell for sure, that it is from downloading a sim that came with default clothes I didn't know about. Most likely a lion from Sapphire Sims 2. If not than probably from some other furry creature that would not look naughty with a skin colored robe! I can't go over there and get help because that site seems to be permanately gone.
I no longer use or want any lion or other animal sims in my game. So removing it is the best thing. I can't figure out what it is worth anything, but thought someone else might be having the same problem and know what caused it.
I know that taking all downloads out of my game that aren't in a subfolder would probably due the trick, but I don't see this as a good solution since It would not narrow down which one it is and there are too many to pull them out one at a time. I place my downloads in subfolders, but if I download a lot or sim that has CC it dumps into the download folder, which is why I believe it would dwell there.

I removed the default replacement, but for some reason there are a few still in Create-A-Sim, and when I click on them, they turn into a suit.. And I can't remove them. What should I do? I've already removed them. D:

@The Silver Lining and @sunni9676:
Default replacements don't get the * in Bodyshop, but since they are in the Downloads folder they are still deletable; AND since they are defaults, they are linked to the original Maxis game files. Deleting them from within Bodyshop deletes the Maxis game files.

I just downloaded this and saw these duplicates; I didn't understand what this was about and tried to delete some of them from within Bodyshop and it created permanent errors; now in my 'formal outfits' section, I see sims with naked bodies deformed in the shape of the school robe, it's really scary, lol.

If I close Bodyshop, then remove my entire Downloads folder, then run Bodyshop again, instead of having the problem solved, I see deformed naked bodies with all the 'Formal' Maxis content. I believe I will have to reinstall my game now. Blah.

I'd suggest to everyone to backup your game files (the files in C:\program files) right after installation, before using any Default replacements or before running programs playing in the game files like SimPE and the likes. Doing the backup is a thing of a few minutes; reinstalling Sims 2 takes alot longer.

@sunni9676, this upload is still really cool, but I'd suggest you to hide the duplicates to make sure people don't get tempted to delete them.

They aren't duplicates. You get custom outfits that show up in the beginning of the catalog and then the "hidden" apparel for NPCs simply reference the same outfit. Technically you have one outfit only. You'd only see the item in the catalog twice if you have the cheat to show hidden work/npc apparel turned on. Although I did replace some non-hidden apparel with this set, you can use a "hider" if it really bothers you that there are two of the outfit or learn to live with seeing two in the catalog.

And you don't need to uninstall/reinstall your game to get back maxis content. Simply rename or move your "The Sims 2" folder to allow it to regenerate a fresh, blank game. Then you can replace the neighborhood and put your downloads into the game and resume.

But as I and others have stated many times before. ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR GAME FOLDER BEFORE ADDING CUSTOM CONTENT. It's just a good practice since there are so many things that can bork a Sims game. Back up on a regular basis. Period.

It always makes me smile when my sims show up in these default replacements. I've been using this so long that I (thankfully) can't remember what awful things they used to wear.

Apparently your files are currently corrupt, so I can't extract them.
