This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

I've always wanted to have a handy little ceiling lamp for my poor little sims that suffer from low budget and dark nights. Since there isn't such lamp already in the game, it was time to start meshing. My first complete mesh!

This lamp is cloned from Base Game's Light Effects Ceiling Lamp. I made the mesh clean and simple and edited textures. It will appear under Lighting > Ceilinglamps and prise is ridiculously small, .

Enjoy!

Thanks for this, I always wondered why there wasn't one for the ceiling - only one for the wall, and as you know in small houses, wall space is at a premium.

Thank you(x 49)! I always wondered why there weren't any of these in-game; It's just so easy! And I was making a video once where a Sim was (supposedly) living in a run-down motel, and when he looked up at the light... there wasn't a single, exposed lightbulb! Gah! But you've fixed that! You're the best! You win five Internets!

Yay! A simple light bulb for ceilings. I hated using most of the ceiling lights for my poor sims cause they all were too 'nice' looking for run down homes. Most of the cheaper lights are a bit out of place in 'dumpier' Sims homes. The 'potlight' ceiling light would be good to use, except it's useless as it doesn't even touch the ceiling, it just hovers underneath (never use it cause of this).
Now thanks to you I have the perfect little light for my less privileged Sims. :-D
*happily downloads*

...just checked them out in the game, looks awesome on my Sims ceilings. woot!
