There are two versions of the same house available for download in this post. One is a functional home business and the other is simply a home.

The Gwrych Barony Tudor Village House is designed for a seamstress and a cooper (barrel maker). This lot includes a three story home and a two story barn. The barn doubles as a workspace for the cooper (or a barrel shop as a home business). The first floor in the House Version includes a seamstress room, but the entire first floor is a seamstress shop in the business version.

House Information:
Residential Lot (with Home and Business Versions)

House Version Cost:
99,876
Business Version Cost:
105,814

Both Lots:
1x3 Lot
3 Story Home with 2 Story Barn
2 Bedrooms (Sleeps 4)
4 Bathrooms/Toilets (2 Full and 2 Half)
Fully Furnished

Notes:
* The lots are indentical with the exception of the first and second floor layouts in the main house. The first floor of the House Version has a dining hall to entertain company, while the first floor of the Business Version is a sewing shop. The second floor of both lots serves as a Family Room. It is a kitchen and sitting area. In the House Version there is more seating, while in the Business Version there is less seating, but a buffet table has been added.

* This lot includes several invisible items used as OMSP slots. If you decide to redecorate and see items that are seemingly floating, simply click under them to enable the invisible objects before moving or deleting them.

* The Gwrych lots include an invisible dishwasher and mini-fridge. The dishwasher is typically beneath a counter in a water bucket and the mini-fridge is typically beneath a counter in a bucket of food. Both can be accessed by clicking on the buckets. The stove in the kitchen by Numenor serves both as an oven and a trash compactor. There is also an invisible driveway to the left of the lot.

* In both versions, there is a sewing table which includes an invisible Freetime Sewing Machine (compliments of Sophie-David). It is the table with the sewing samples on it and can be accessed by clicking on the table.

* This lot has been play tested. I mainly did so to test the functionality of the home business. Don't forget to lock the stairwell door that leads to the main house and the upper level door in the barn that leads to the main house at the onset of starting your home business.

* I added sidedoors from the bathrooms in the upper level of the house for Sims to "symbolically" dump waste in the ditch on the right side of the house. I added a couple of "stinky" effects to the ditch for a bit of realism. I would not advise loading lots with these effects.

* Lot activities include television viewing, ax throwing, barbecuing, darts, pottery, sewing, sleeping, reading, eating and dancing.

ENJOY THE LOT(S)!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Thank you allison. I was trying to decide how to "photograph" the lot best, because I really wanted the pictures to capture the essence of what it is like to be in the lot in game. So, I'm glad that you could "see" a bit of that.

jbeach, You are most welcomed. I often think about stepping back in time. But, I'm sure it would only be for a visit, just to experience first hand what it would be like to live it. But, I'd definitely have to get back to the present after a few days I'm sure! Take care my friend. My chat meter is low at present, but I'll still check in with you from time to time.

I appreciate the feedback. I still love the "feel" of Blackstone by the way. I'm sort of stuck in the past for now. Again, thank you.

Lady Angel
Thanks. I feel like I'm surrounded by lot builders these days! Seriously, I've been exploring your profile. What stands out for me about your style is you have a way with exteriors, a natural flare I mean. Your lots have a "home" feeling about them. I especially like the exterior appeal of Suburbia (especially how you didn't place the entry facing the street) and Home from Home is as well. At any rate...I appreciate the comment and the download.

LadyVampyreMiya,
LOL! I'm sure there are those who say "enough" with this medieval madness already. But, I will find the end of this project...eventually. The good thing is that the list isn't growing (see last post in Journal), but it's still an extensive list since I am no longer uploading lots in mass sets. But, there will be "more" as you say. Enjoy the download.

You are welcomed tricia. I appreciate your taking time to send a little builder's love my way. Of course with over 150 individual lots uploaded, I figure you must know a little "something" about lot designs! I too am inspired by your creativity and the creativity of many of the lot builders here on MTS. Do take care.

No, never enough with the "medieval madness" ;-) (Well, not for some time at least... I have a whole medieval/fantasy neighborhood to fill!)

Thank you so much for sharing, it's BEAUTIFUL!
And I love home businesses too!

Thanks evelynprinzortiz!

That was one of the most intense creation uploads. I was posessed and didn't have time to do all I wanted to do. But, I'm glad you enjoyed the Kensington (London) lots!

Thank you again for the compliments. I appreciate the positive feedback!

Steph, I really do hope you don't stop creating these medieval lots. My main hood is a medieval one, and I absolutely couldn't design a house if my life depended upon it. I need yours! I've seen some other medieval lots out there that I've liked, but yours have the most authentic feel to them.

Thank you for the compliment, Amber. I still have quite a few Gwrych (medieval) lots to complete, so no worries at present of me not building more medieval lots. Once I complete the Parson's Retreat, I will work on the remaining "commercial" Gwrych Lots and then a few specialty Gwrych lots for the pirates, vamps, werewolves, witches, etc. But the end is much nearer than it used to be!

Do enjoy the Gwrych lots.

Thanks celinna. I am getting back to building this week. First, got to clear the finished projects off my desktop. But, I want to concentrate on Gwrych solely for a while once I do. So, it will be another round of Gwrych lots as soon as I prep and upload the complete projects off my desktop.

moonrise,

I haven't created a dungeon type prison for the medieval realm. I did create my own version of the Harry Potter prison (Azkaban). It has a whole medieval vibe to it, but could be altered a little with a stable/barn.

Also, Epo @ Plumbbob Keep has created a medieval "Clink".

Both links below. Check them out. You may need to register at PBK before you can access the download. But here are the links:
