I never thought about how my Sim Creation Vacations are really me taking breaks from Simming. Not so much because of real life, but because I reach a place where I have no focus or interest in creating things for the Sims. So, I busy myself with real life until the passion is renewed. Simming moved from being an escape from reality to being the new reality. Don't know if that's bad or good!

Such is the best laid plans of mice, men and Sim Creators! But, it turned out to be a wonderful gift to the Sims 2 community.

Thank you simtopia!

Best laid plans? Haha, we'll see, other creators still have about a month to come up with better ideas. But thank you very much StephSim.

Now to complete this, I wish I was able to create a hack that has an effect on sims actually, making them go through a real 'mid-life crisis' for a random number of days. With personality and aspiration changes and a tougher mood-meter to raise, and a block on the white-aspiration status.

I love all your "No Valentine" Sets and have them in my game now!! Thank you for taking the time to create and share with us in the Sims 2 Community. Maybe someday I will get Sims 3...LOL. Think I'm going to wait on Sims 4 after seeing the trailer on it. So much more can be done with it. Probably have to get a better video card too...LOL

I can relate. I've been needing to upgrade my PC since forever, and not just for the Sims game... but it can be a good motivation to upgrade a computer, those games are demanding little things lol.

Could you please teach me how to merge TS2 files? I know how to do it for TS3, but I can't seem to find that kind of information for TS2 anywhere. I have my Downloads folder super (obsessively even) organized in almost infinite folders and subfolders, but I still have hundreds thousands of files because some items have up to 30 recolors and I'd like to be able to merge all recolors of the same file with their respective meshes to make the game run smoother and save my PC from eminent death xD

Minaki,
I'll pm you, but I believe there's answers to that question in this conversation I had forever ago with Phaenoh:

https://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=470328

Edit :
If that method doesn't work, you can just download my regrouped file here (the Easy Standard) and look into it in SimPE. Compare it with your non-regrouped files and note the differences. Then you can work from there.

Sorry but I didn't regroup files since a couple years. If I had to do it again, I'd probably start by looking at it in SimPE, and if it didn't ring any bell I'd re-read the old convo.

Hi, these are great but only showing for adults. (I thought the sets were for also for elders) Are any of the files in the 3 sets (hair, eyebrows and facial hair) designed for elders? (colours and salt and pepper that is I don't want grey) If not how hard would it be for me to make them show up for elders? If this is too complicated a thing to quickly tell me here just let me know.

Hi,
I tried to simply edit the codes in SimPE, changing 0x00000008 for 0x00000018 in hopes it would make them available for elders too, unfortunately it doesn't do the trick. I tried with the 'trash heap' version, to see if elders could use them from the *custom bin - they can't. Even if they wear purple punk hair, the stubble is still grey. So I believe the colors will have to go through the whole process to become elders-friendly. If I find the time, I'll make it for you, I don't know when though.

Thanks for the info. That would be nice but no rush. I was hoping on the trash heap as I do have a few coloured hairs in that bin that my elders can wear. I've never even touched hair creating before, but I am planning on learning on how to layer coloured with grey which someone made for me some years ago. At least I now know not to waste my time trying to change codes in simPE.

Simmer22 mentioned that the age+gender lines in the Elder PropertySet (age 10) need to be set to 0, so I will try that along with the 0x00000018.
