Great idea - glad you thought of it and did something about it.

I would probably have chosen "member of the current household" (expression: my person data - family number == global - current family) in stead of "currently being selected", but otherwise, this is a fantastic idea, Neder.

Thank you so much.

I had thought about that, B.O., but I went with "currently selected" to give me a little more control (i.e. the ability to cancel the action). I micromanage a lot. The whole point for me was that whenever I was trying to track down a family member (who was supposed to be doing something else), they had inevitably fired up the DVD player. I wanted to quell most of the autonomy, but not all.
I wanted to keep the option for film/lit Sims as well as being able to allow a "Family Movie Night" or for Sims to join in watching at a party or whatnot.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

I'm a micro-manager myself, and I've written a few interaction-limiters too, so I know exactly where you're coming from. Sometimes, those EAxoids go a bit overboard with things. But thank god, we can fix some of it ourselves. :D

Thank you! This annoys me so much. The movies are loud too! Silly Sims!

ahh! finally there is some mod that can reduce this low-key annoyance. I mean, I am really okay with their freewill to watch movies, but apparently they should do something else lol Thanks so much again.
