Hello and thanks for taking care of this awesome mod for so long!

I also have a couple of mods that override some of the same files, and have been asked if it was possible to make my mods compatible with this mod. I have successfully done this, but I had to edit the overhaul package. I wanted to ask permission to re-upload my edited version?

I also see that you are no longer updating the mod and people are asking for new features. I could possibly look at working on some requests too in the future. How would you feel about me potentially adopting care of the mod?

I hope this doesn't sound too cheeky.

Hello to you too, and you're welcome.

About you want to take over maintaining this mod, sure I don't mind at all as long as you mention me and BlackCat007 (the original creator) in the credit. You also welcomed to open new thread (if the moderators here allow, just ask them first) Thank you again for willingly want to continue maintaining this truly awesome mod indeed.

Of course I'll give you both credit! I never would have thought of doing some of the things you both did! I'm so excited, thank you!

A couple of weeks ago I installed BlackCat007_Cooking and ingredients Overahaul_All fruits buyable, along with several other mods. When I entered the lot I Error Trap threw up two errors, one for one family member who was missing. The other was for a townie who could also not be found. I exited without saving, removed all the mods and reentered. The missing Sims were now present. Yesterday I tried the mod again, without the other new mods. I really wanted it for a family with several aspiring cooks. When I entered the lot I could not open the house and all but one of the family was missing. Also the skewer was gone and the thumbnail of the sim who had been selected on saving was also gone. I could not click on the one remaining sim. Exited and tried a different neighborhood. Could enter the house this time,the skewer was present but a head count showed two of the adult sims were gone. Clicked on one of the children to check family tree. Boxes for the parents were empty.
I've read through several pages of comments and have seen no other reports of problems like this. I am assuming it is a conflict with some other mod that I have. No idea what. I quail at the process of finding out but it must be done. If anyone has any clues that I might follow, I'd appreciate it. I do know that some of the features of the mod I already have. Most ingredients called for by the game are available at the store. I recently downloaded Bohemian Garden and The Old Mill and those ingredients are available. Orange was also available but is not since the recent downloads. Several of my families had planted an orange tree but none were more than sprouts yet. Have not visited them since the orange disappeared from the store.

Okay, I generated a brand new clean game, no store content, no downloads. The only mods were Error Trap and the above mentioned Cooking Overhaul. I selected Twinbrook as my test hood. As soon as I got to the choose a household screen Error Trap threw an error for a sim. Mary Baker, an accomplished cook. I chose the Racket household and entered. Another error, this one the normal corrections error. Checked the fridge and there were many new ingredients. Sent a family member to the store and there were many more selections available. Looks like mod is working. Switched to Baker household. Mary Baker's thumbnail is missing. Only her two sons are anywhere on the lot. It appears that she has been deleted just like the sims from my other games. But without any mod conflict.

Anyone have an idea?

Tried something different. I replaced BlackCat/anak's mod with Cinderellimouse's latest edit. Went back to Twinbrook. Mary Baker was present. Mod working in fridge and grocery store and lots of new recipes in Mary's journal. She is level 6 cook. New recipe books available at bookstore. As far as I can tell, everything is as it should be. But why did anak's mod not work for me? Could it be a bad download?

First of all, thank you for keeping this amazing mod updated and maintained! It sure makes cooking in TS3 so much more enjoyable.

I am here to report a problem I'm having with this mod, though.
Lately I have downloaded and tried to use the store content versions of this mod, but they seem to be disregarding all of the other food-related mods I am using. The mods affected are:
SimsMatthew's Unused EA Meshes as Custom Food;
icemunmun's Green Vegetables, Spring Harvest and Harvestable Flowers;
douglasveiga's Strawberry Plant, Coconut Palm and Banana Plant.

In my game, the normal version of this mod seems to be supporting all of the mods I listed above, but breaking some of the store ingredients. (Peach, Pear, Pecan Raspberry, and possibly others too )

So for me it's either all of the CC work correctly or all of the store ingredients are present with most of the CC ingredients missing! (the choice is obvious here, CC is so much better than Store )

I would appreciate it if you could help me with making this mod work normally, please...

P.S.:
1. Since I playtested with both versions of this mod and the creators of the other mods are different, I conclude the problem may either be with this version's mod or my game.
2. I do clear the cache before opening The Sims 3 every time I make changes in the mods folder.
3. I do have CCLoader installed.

Really sorry to this late answer. And I am sorry too that I can't help you both anymore because I don't have the game installed and also can't install it as well because my DVD drive is broken atm.

So I think you guys can get more help from the man who now maintain this mod in one way or another. Try go to this thread and ask him your question, I am sure he can answer better than me right now.

I absolutely love this mod. It has changed the way I play the sims, and has made cooking a challenge instead of a basic necessity.

I would like to ask the same thing as Vampchick and point out that, while I bought the cow pen (milkin it dairy corral) from the store to use with this mod, they don't use the same "milk" object. It was an error on my part to assume it would work without first asking, but if someone knows of a way to make them compatible, I would REALLY like it. I know something like this was done in a mod that enhances Grandma's canning station, as it makes the milk from Cooking and ingredients overhaul as well as the milk from the cow pen both usable in the recipe. I could try to modify the cow pen, but I know nothing about modding and it seems like a really big challenge for a first attempt.

Has anyone created NGMPs for the ingredients so they can be used with Arsil's Generic Food Maker?

I have had my DVD drive break and have installed the game via origin download, which I know not everyone can, however, it's something to consider. Just an FYI if you didn't know, but I'm sure you did. Have fun on whatever you are playing. This is a good mod!
