Brilliant, and long overdue!

Have you considered also breaking the trains into their individual components? For example, the caboose by itself or the engine by itself? This would make the project even more useful.

PS.: Further info about the train tracks. It is the easiest object to extract and repack, this is the reason I didn't make it self. It was already Done by someone else (Kativip).
If you do not find it, you can easily make it self. Just extract the game mesh from the train effect and pack it over whatever base clone you may have.
This would be completely outside the comfort zone of the majority of downloaders. And I'm probably as frustrated as you about the disorganization at Garden of Shadows. If I were you I think I would post your own extraction of the railway tracks in your download archive. No one has special rights to extracted EA files - except EA of course.

Lots of people are frustrated with the layout at GOS, and many people don't have the time it takes to try and navigate through that site.....it's so frustrating! Guess I will try to google it.

You shouldn't need to make your own trackage, there are a couple of files here in the neighborhood decorations library that should work.

This... http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=319998
The one above is Criquette's on which the Garden of Shadows one is based.

And this one is a simpler take on rail lines, should be better on a slower machine ... http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=305323&c=1

This is awesome and much appreciated! I may be wrong , but the only set of Kativip's that has railroad tracks that I am aware of is here http://www.digitalperversion.net/ga...p?topic=20646.0 . Hopefully that may help out. Thanks again!

Thanks for all feedback. I'm going to try to answer all the statements but I also get lost with "quoting". I explained that I play scenegraphically, so I create things for my own purpose. I think that I'm the one with most limitations (I was once even called online for "disabled" and many other cosy things).
Well, if EA is the only one with rights to repack their things, they should have done it. All the material I use are buried inside the Base Game and was never effectively used.
Yes, I'm breaking things apart and had already created more than 1000 objects.
Presently I'm trying to make things really playable and no, breaking the train apart was already done (by kativip). I don't like plain decorative objects, I like to enter inside them and make them dance.
I don't claim at all on Garden of Shadows organization or lay-out, it works for them. It is very difficult for me but anyway even a cactus is slippery for me.
I don't know if I have time to navigate around, one of my "disabilities" is that I have no notion for time. The first question I make every morning is "which day is today".
I need format xx/xx/xxxx and forget it 2 hours later. Sorry if I'm not helpful.

I checked the original train tracks and in fact they are unuseful. The textures are far too bad, so kativip tracks are still the best. I made one self and I still think that it is very easy to make. Just one straight long line and a bar are enough. Tried many times and all of them worked. The object is so small that to make something complicated would only increase the poly count. So, kativip's is low poly and fits perfectly. I made already all the parts for my project that I need and this time I included the train tracks right on it. So, this post stays for anyone who has interest.

While looking at this post I was wondering where I can find the central tower in the third picture which looks like the windmill from neighborhood objects without the arms. I did find a smaller animate windmill, but it's far too small for what I plan to use it for.

Also, I love what you've done here xptl297, I can't wait for my 'hood to enter the modern era and start using this.
