Really lovely - my parents and I lived in a chattel house when we lived in Barbados (my parents were Bajan); it was pretty cool! Thanks for this - brings back some happy memories

Yay! It's so nice to be able to add some colour to otherwise bleak neighbourhoods. This house is very charming.

Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback on my chattel house.

Since I've never been on Barbados and have never seen a chattel house myself, it means a lot to me to read your comments. I enjoyed working on the chattel house and am already thinking about building another one. If you would like me to rebuild a certain chattel house you may send me pictures of it or a link where I can download those pictures.

Thanks to all of you. :-)

I'm currently working on another chattel house but I'm a slow builder and so it'll take some time before it can be uploaded. It's fun to use all those bright colors which I normally don't use for buildings. Also it's like being on holidays while creating a lot in Sunlit Tides - the beach in the background, the blue sea, the blue sky.... - I always have to remind myself to go ahead with work instead of dreaming of a holiday at the beach. *lol*

Hi, I love the Chattel house and downloaded it, but when I tried to play it I could not move up or down floors and was stuck on the foundation level, I was so disappointed, I wonder why this is?

Hi MrsPuddleduck,

maybe it helps if you 1) delete the old house, 2) place a new copy of the house, 3) start a new game. If that doesn't help your copy of the house might be corrupt. You could download a fresh copy of the house and then try again.

There is nothing wrong with the house itself. I just playtested again and had no problems switching between levels or let my sim use the stairs from one to the other level.

I really love this house, and can't wait to use it in Sunlit Tides. I have to tell you that what I most appreciate, is that you upload it with no custom content. It's not that I don't use cc, but I limit it, and I want to choose what I use and don't use. So, I never install a house or sim unless it specifically states that no cc was used. So, thank you, thank you, thank you, for uploading such a terrific house with no cc, so I could use it.

Thank you, simaholic63. I had used custom content when Sims 3 was pretty new, however, soon my mods folder got stuffed and I lost track of what cc is from who and what creations use what kind of cc. So I decided to get rid of all of it - except the NRaas Saver.

Thank you for your feedback.

How did you manage the fence in the front?

It's only a fence on top of a wall. The wall is on foundation hight due to the use of CFE.

I live in Barbados and drive past this chattel house daily. You have done a wonderful job of replicating the original house! Very well done!
