I am sorry I don't quite get it. Is it a school that my kids can go to Monday through Friday? Or this lot is actually a house only decorated to look like a school?

This download is categorized in: Lots & Housing > Residential
Yes, this is a residential lot and not a 'school'.

I don't see why you couldn't covert it into a community lot, and send your sims to school, per se.
Or use a school mod/hack:
you could try looking at: http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2P...Schooltypes.htm.
and here: http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2P...nstitutions.htm
specifically FLEXI SCHOOL:
Quote:
This is for children who are either educated at home, not educated at all, or who attend a school institution run by the player

Using the custom 'school' objects from the second link you could turn the residential lot into an actual school (you could even set what children in the neighborhood attend, said school), etc

Tamas, thanks! Glad you like it.

Thanks Lorin.

eliseluong, yes it is and yes you can. It does not need to be converted to a community lot to be a playable Simlogical Prep school. (Note I gave the school mod link in my lot details)
You certainly can convert it if you wish, but I have only played the original as a residential school lot. I left it as a residential lot here in case anyone had any questions about running it. I don't know how to run the mod on a community lot.

Once you enroll the children and set a teacher you use the school bell to start school and all the children and the teacher will appear and all will be selectable until you end school. I had the principle own the lot; he lived in the flat at the top. I'll add a link to a tutorial.

Digitalchaos, you can play the Simlogical School mod on either a residential or a community lot. I have always run my prep school on a residential lot. It works just fine. I also gave the Simlogical school link in the details of my lot.

Tutorial added to the lot overview.

sims2fan473, I don't think sp's (apart from M& G) are imperative to have. I believe the stuff simply won't show up.

Thanks karen.

eliseluong, have fun with the school.Feel free to pm me if you need help. Most importantly is to put the school sign out to stop the bus, the rest is gravy.

OMG Jo, this is simply brilliant! Everything's so colorful and cheerful and well thought, really great work! I don't have that many kids and teens in my hood, so this would be a very empty funcional school, but I'll certainly plop it as a community lot so everyone can develop their skills and hobbies. Thank you so much for sharing this with us :D

Thank you for your lovely comment lipe. This school was rather special to me and one of my favourite builds, so it makes me extra happy when people like it. :D

Just a note, being from Australia, no one I know eats anything called Vegemite Pancakes. They eat "Pikelets" or "Vegemite on Toast". Vegemite is banned in the US because it contains too much folate/folic acid. It's ok though, because it smells and probably tastes like something from a cow paddock.

That was a joke and I'm from Queensland and quite often eat Vegemite on toast. Have a good day anyway!

Banned, really? I'm pretty sure I've seen that repulsive stuff in the international-foods aisle of the supermarket... I have to agree about the taste and smell; I've eaten exactly one bite of vegemite on toast, and I only choked that down to be polite.

And boy, do I wish I could use this...I seldom wish I had all expansions, but this is one of those occasions!

You do realize this is our national spread you guys are maligning? Vegemite is something we are given as children, it's healthy and tasty and only meant to be spread on very thinly.

Freefalldreams, thank you for liking the school. Maybe you should try Ebay for used copies, they should be cheap these days.
