The option doesn't show up for me

SURPRISE! I fixed some errors this was having when your sim goes to University. It should work properly now. Any suggestions for other features to add to this?! I may get back into this!

Thank you so much for the update! I'm so glad you're wanting to come back to your mod it defintely doesn't work with Ani's apartment mod. Ani's mod doesn't work so well now since the game had been updated to 1.67/1.69 i.e in that 2 families can't really live on the same lot in two separate apartments and keep their careers/uni careers.
I know your mod doesn't do that either, but you couldn't have the lot be set as an apartment to have rent collected on it properly.
PJSims made her Estate Agents mod to be compatible with your mod, so I'm hoping it still works with this update - I'll try it out soon.
What other features are you wanting to add to it? Could you make it so that we could have an apartment building and have multiple familes live on it in separate apartments and pay their rents separately? (And have separate fridges! ) I thought I'd throw that last bit in there, I've been wanting individual fridges for YEARS

Wow, I didn't know that! I have to go look up that mod now! No, that stuff sounds way beyond my scope. I'm thinking more along the lines of, letting people turn off the notifications and/or making the menus a little bit less cumbersome. Ha.

Welcome back! I’ve had your mod installed for years and I love it, but the notifications are a little distracting at times so being able to turn them off would be great!

As for update ideas, maybe player-controlled landlords could evict occupants they don’t like anymore? And maybe implementing a way for us to choose compatible roommates as you mentioned near the bottom of your mod description (possibly using the Sim Finder app)?

Yes, she made it so a sim can buy houses to rent out to other sims or rent houses from the estate agents! It's an excellent mod!

I was thinking of trying to stop the notifications except for when you first load a lot or when you make changes. And maybe an option on the phone to check the status whenever you click on it.

Yeah, sometimes the rent is too low so I'm having to try and get money out of sims some other way lol.
Oh, could rental prices be attached to community lots too? I like sims to rent spaces for shops or a market space. I'm currently doing it manually by making a sim pay another sim, the owner, a small percentage of the community lot amount through their bank account, but it would be so much better if the prices are worked out properly through a mod and can be raised or lowered at will, especially if the lot had upgrades etc.

Well I think I have changing the rent price working. Also worked on the menus a bit and got it to say "Roommate Services" you're on an Apartment lot and "Tenant Services" if you're on a Residential lot. But it doesn't show up on a sim's personal smart phone? Gotta look into that one 🤣

Regarding renting shops, I usually like to have multiple shops one lot. Currently I'd have one sim buy the whole lot but I'd want other sims to pay rent to the owner for a shop space, so say the lot has 3 shops, maybe divide the full price by 3, something like that - the money is paid to the owner via MC Money Transfer or using PJSims Clubs mod which has a bank account module
I don't always want sims to own shops but I do like them having to rent a space weekly or so.

Oh, kinda like a farmers market or flea market? I wonder if that's something you could do with an iteration of an infamous "rug" so that it's practically invisible.

An amazing mod coming back to life? 2024 is so full of surprises! Funny enough, even after playing for so many years, I've only just decided to try out this mod a few weeks ago. It's made apartments much more tolerable for me, so thank you! In terms of future updates, would it ever be possible for us to use the landlord/tenant system without Nrass SP? I had to ditch it a little a while ago, so I'm pretty bummed that I can't enjoy this mod to the fullest. Either way, thanks again for the update pjsutton!

So the NRaas SP is only needed (I think) if you want to collect money on a rental property that you own (because that mod enables rental properties). So, the other functions of it should work fine without that!
