If the Maxis version of Jessica Picaso was his mother, the elf ears came from her. She has a broken face template and will get elf ears herself when she ages to elder. This bug is hereditary so any children she has will also get the broken face template. This is only a problem for characters made from the Maxis default template set (faces 21 and 25 are the ones with the problem - they don't link properly to the other ages or something). Known fixes below are preventative and will NOT fix sims who are already in your game.

Talia cleaned the genetics for the versions of the Maxis characters in her clean neighborhood templates, so her versions of the Maxis characters should not have this problem.

This is my first attempt, and first download, of a premade hood. Will comment in the discussion thread of my experience. Thanks for this interesting sim challenge.

I love the look of shady shores and would like to convert it myself, too.

It's very simple. Create a new neighborhood/or use one that you already have. Open up HoodReplace.
At the left hand side, choose Shady Shores. At the right hand side, choose your neighborhood.
And now tick or untick the things you want to replace. In your case, that would be Roads, Bridges, Terrain (if you want Trees + Decoration). That would be everything!

Is there a download for this that consists of the terrain only? I really love the layout and am looking for a small hood like this to build a community from scratch.

I was looking for a beach neighborhood, and this one is really beautiful neighborhood, with flat ground for lots and a pretty ocean. It's like Twikki Island but prettier and a little bigger, with nice large streets to place big or small lots.

However, for some reason it seems impossible to install beach lots, although they appear they should fit perfectly.

The storyline is eerily perfect for 2020 too. Sims have been dropping dead, but leaving only grandparents and toddlers. I love the ghosts! And the struggle is real for each lone grandparent that has console and teach those toddlers. (Hint to downloaders: also get a hack for Smart Milk!)

If the creator(s) of Shady Shores are still around and have the time or interest, would you please create (or modify) and release a v2 of this neighborhood, but with workable beach lots? Maybe name this one Pandemic or Survivor's Cove, etc, just a thought, and it could even look just like this one. A SC Terrain map would nice for an v2 neighborhood too which could be used again w/o having to use the Hood Replacer hack. Thanks ahead of time if you can, and thanks for this neat neighborhood.
