It doesnt work - i made a file in documents and still nothing (Documents\EA Games\The Sims™2 Ultimate Collection\Downloads)

The file MUST be copied in this folder :

C:\Users\YOURNAMEACCOUNT\Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection\Mods

@bikerinside Unexpectedly, it does work there. Moreover, it turns out mods can work in any custom folders in the game save folder.
So it's not really necessary to put it in a Mods folder. It should work in an ordinary Downloads folder as well.

I have spent soo much time to figure it out, because even if I copy file in Download folder, the game just crash or doesn't work, even TS2 doesn't "see" as custom content.
That's what worked for me

I use dxvk (recommended for most recent AMD cards), and the reallyNotMisty version is the one that worked for me.
1/8/2016: New avatar! Pre-censored for EA's approval.
3/19/2015: Teens are too close to YAs. EA needs to either shorten the teens, or add preteens and make YAs look older.
