Thanks! This university will be a great addition to my custom neighborhood!

By the way, when I attached LGU to my neighborhood with another college, the game didn't copy NPCs from the second uni. Is there a way to fix it?

Are you sure it didn't? The original dormies have lower numbers and will be called first to fill dorms, so it may take awhile for the LGU dormies to show up.

I think so. I'm checking my neighborhoods with Mootilda's HoodChecker, and I'm getting some memories with no subject if I attach the second uni to my neighborhood. If I attach it to others without universities, then it's totally fine.

Also, I've noticed all the dormies are fine. However, I can't find some NPCs like mascots from the second university whichever one I add. If LGU is the first one I attach, then everything is perfect. I'd like to attach others, like Quadington, and be sure I don't corrupt the nieghborhood.

Corruption shouldn't be a problem, though of course you should always back up your neighborhood before doing anything as major as adding a subhood. The only thing that should cause a serious problem would be if the internal ID numbers for the two subhoods matched, and if you're nervous you can easily check that in SimPE. Open the template files for the subhoods in SimPE and choose IDNO for each. In the bottom half of the screen you'll see a field for UID (Unique ID Number). If these numbers match each other, change one of them, commit, and save.

I'm pretty sure LGU and Quaddington don't conflict, but there's nothing like seeing for yourself.

Every hood gets memories with no subject from time to time. That's one reason you run Hoodchecker - to remove grit like that from your system.

Peni, I downloaded the empty version some time ago but never got around to using it. But just recently I've been motivated to test out a new mod for uni, and I thought to finally use your campus.

It's really great! You've nicely captured the feel of a state college experience. I love the playability of all the lots I've taken my sims to so far, and Dormitory 1 is serving beautifully as the home for my test-sim household (The GuineaPigs, of course). I especially appreciate how you've made the various quads and academic buildings feel different from one another, and how they each provide plenty to do while not having content that overlaps too much. (Redundancy of offerings among community lots is a pet peeve of mine, but I know it takes conscious effort to avoid!)

I downloaded this and was super excited to play it. I put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 University Life Collection\EP1\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate\U004 and installed it in my neighborhood. I opened it in game and the subhood showed up with all of the hood decorations, and lots placed. However, the lots were empty! They were designated as community, residential, or dorm, and were named, but there was no architecture. Just empty lots. I have no clue how this happened or how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Edit: It was because I renamed the folder containing the subhood, but the lots were all still referencing UPGL. No help necessary!

I'm slightly confused. I downloaded both versions and put them in the university NeighborhoodTemplate folder, after renaming the empty one and all its files. When I wanted to add a university subhood to one of the neighborhoods in the game, the empty LGU showed up just fine, but the populated one wasn't there and I have no idea what I may have done wrong (since one works fine and the other doesn't). o.O

Hmm...I think I screwed up here! If I didn't give the two versions different instance numbers, you may be stuck swapping them in and out as needed. Since I didn't say anything about having done that, I bet I didn't.

The only way I know to access the instance number is in SimPE, which doesn't like opening subhoods, though there may be a way around that. I know I could do it if I still had the AGS setup I did development in, but I don't. I'll see if I can muster the energy to experiment and see whether I can find it out.

This is a really nice university and I appreciate the empty hood possibility. You put in a lot of creative effort here and it shows!
