about:

This is custom food that sims can prepare on the stove.
  • YOU NEED CUSTOM FOOD INTERACTION v1.9.1 or higher for the recipe to be available in game.
  • No cooking skill is required (Lv1)
  • Any mushroom can be used as ingredient but not required.
  • Tagged as Seafood.
  • Cooking steps and props (chopsticks and bowl) are customized.
  • Available for all age groups.

Compatibility:
  • Your game version must be at least 1.26.96 (aka Toddler Patch) for this recipe to work!
  • Made with PC Version 1.20.60.1020
  • Basegame Compatible, but the dish will also show up in the restaurant menu if you have Dine Out installed.
  • Should not conflict with any other mod.
  • Safe to merge with other files.

How to use this recipe:
  1. Make sure your game version is up-to-date.
  2. Make sure you installed all the required files (both recipe and custom interaction script)
  3. Click either refrigerators or stoves in game and choose [Cook Custom Meal] pie menu.
  4. Choose the recipe you'd like to cook from the list. Please note that recipes won't appear If your sim doesn't have the required skill.

Localisation:
  • English, Czech, Danish, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Norwegian, Russian (all translated by myself using the strings of other custom food and google translator.); Chinese (parkjoonho), Dutch (ElenaInTheSims), Polish (simmingstuff), Spanish (alexpilgrim), Swedish (heihu).

Now this recipe is translated by all the language supported. But still, feel free to correct any mistake and add suggestions!

Code:
English / Octopus Udon / Prepare Octopus Udon / Serve Octopus Udon

Note: [Prepare xxx] is an interaction name for making a single meal, while [Serve xxx] is an interaction name for making a group meal. These are shown in the sim's queue while they are making the food.

Miscellaneous:

Known Issues:
  • Since the group meal mesh doesn't have proper geostates, the pot always look full even after sims eat up all the servings.

Polygon Counts:
  • Single meal: 998 vertices / 1344 polygons
  • Group meal: 1578 vertices / 2057 polygons
  • Custom chopsticks: 64 vertices / 40 polygons
  • Custom empty bowl: Same as EA bowl

Credit:
  • Plasticbox for the custom interaction script and tutorial.
  • Graycurse for helping the FoodGroup improve the script.
  • Noir and Dark Sims for the food mesh. Bowl and pot are EA meshes edited by me.
  • Made with Sims4Studio, Blender, and Photoshop

Like the quote below says, it is a known issue. I guess disabling autonomous cooking option at all might help, but not sure.

I have a problem with the octopus udon and your file Tempura Shrip Udon.

Whenever I try to place them on shelves / refrigerated displays in my delicacies shop, I get the following error ' Object not found' - Other foods work fine so far

I wasn't able to reproduce it in my game. I could place all my food on any surface (including veranka's refrigerated displays, if you meant them), and even ground. Though I've seen some people had issues with placing stuff or using slots after installing the latest patch. And repairing game seems to help in this case.

EDITED TO ADD (Nov 13): Okay, I saw the glitch in game today. I don't know what exactly is the cause of this, but think it happens randomly to any food (both EA and custom foods). Anyway, what I did to fix was to put the food in inventory first, and then placed it in the world again. After that I was able to place it on any surface.

Hi OMS. I seem to be having a problem with 3 of your custom food dishes (both udon & the jiamppong dish). My sims can cook the meal but the option to eat it is gone. Is this an issue with the custom food interaction mod?

I am aware that ALL my custom foods are broken (because of chopsticks, etc), and of course working on fixes. But please be patient this will take awhile. It's been only 1 or 2 day since the path was out and I have a life outside of this game like all of you.

Noone of your food mods are working for me. The sim makes the food, takes a plate and puts the plate down. There's no option for eating it when the plate is put down. If I pick the "take a plate" the same thing happens, my sim takes one plate and puts it down.

Please, please update the recipe. My sims will prepare the food, can put it in inventory, but cannot eat it. I tested this without other mods except ones made by MTS food group. The KFC bucket recipe works ok, but not this recipe - I have version 3 of the Octopus Udon installed.
