This is incredible, kudos for creating such an amazing mod! I only wish the recolorable candles could be bought from the catalog lol, it sucks that you can't recolor the default EA candle. Also, I love how you can make rations by canning meals but I also feel like this could be easily abused. I feel like there should be a counterbalance, such as giving a cheap food moodlet (like the Uneven Cooking and Tastes Like Fridge moodlets) to any rations you make and making snobby sims not enjoy rations (like the Foul Food moodlet from the World Adventure ep). Just suggestions though, this mod is awesome, thanks again for making it!

Dear Butterbot, is there an option somewhere to tune to make sims autonomously using it, which means putting "any" ingredients into the canning inventory. I have placed it on a community lot, so all sims could use it, but they don't, which is very sad.

Thanks in advance

Regards/Gruß Claudy

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone has managed to get DouglasVeiga's strawberries to be made into jam on the canning station? I have both his and EA Bohemian Fruits installed, and although there is a way to override EA's strawberries with DV's fruit, I want both of them - and I'd also like DV's strawberries to also be made into jam (currently only EA's strawberry can be canned - at least in my game, anyway) Thanks!

"This is easily remedied by firing up S3PE and setting the SlotPlacementFlags to Small, Decorative, and FullRotation in the OBJD in StoreFix_Decrap_Fixes.package."

How? I can't find anything called "slotplacementflags"

Yeah, this should have been explained in more depth instead of assuming everyone knows what they're doing.

I know this comment is almost a year old now, but here are the instructions in case you and or anyone else still need them:

1. Open the "StoreFix_Decrap_Fixes.package" file located in your Mods/Packages and/or Mods/Overrides game folder using S3PE.
2. Click on the "Name" and then "Tag" columns to sort alphabetically and by tag.
3. Find and highlight the "CanningJarJam" OBJD file.
4. With CanningJarJam OBJD highlighted, click on the "Grid" button at the bottom of S3PE, which will open a smaller Data Grid window.
5. Scroll down to "SlotPlacementFlags" and expand it.
6. Change "Small," "Decorative," and "FullRotation" to true by clicking the row and using the drop-down menu. Make sure everything else is set to false.
7. Click the "Commit" button on the Data Grid window and then save the StoreFix_Decrap_Fixes package.

Hey fellow simmers, I ran into a weird issue when using this mod. I have used this mod before and now that I thoroughly scrubbed my CC and removed all that is bad, I have re-installed the mod and although EVERYTHING else works, I can't make ginseng soup. I even re-downloaded the mod in case I had a bug. Still cant make the soup.

I'm not the original poster, but thank you for the instructions. I wouldn't have been able to figure it out without your reply.

Still hoping for a fix. I moved my entire sims to a new computer, and still can't make the ginseng soup.

Do you have University installed for all the herbs to show up? I assume you do because it's only the ginseng not showing up, right?

How is all your store content installed, as sims3packs or packages?

About 99% of my store content and CC is packages. Only some items are installed as sims3pack (worlds mostly, and sims downloaded)

Do I have to level up my cooking skill to do this? I didn't think cooking affected this issue but I could be wrong.

Apologies for these very late replies as I've just returned to the game.

@Homeworker

Not sure if you're still around, but thank you for the comment and ErrorTrap logs. Without further information regarding the context of the resets, it is not possible to determine their causative path with 100% certainty. However, this report did prompt a more extensive inspection of the mod's logic which led to the discovery of an issue for gameplay scenarios involving jams/preserves generated prior to this mod's installation. As a result, the mod's description has been updated to explicitly alert players to this possibility (see the first item under "Fixes for Existing EA Bugs").

Many thanks to attuned and @igazor for looking into this in my absence and for eliciting the ErrorTrap logs.

@klnandin

It's from LilyOfTheValley's shelving set at TSR: https://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/1090382

@C. Dark

There is no provision for such in the mod or in EA's implementation, though it was considered during the mod's development. In the end, it was not pursued due to the added complexity, and also because using up harvestables in inactive sims' inventories might be undesirable to users who rotate through multiple households while wishing to reserve certain harvestables for the garden or nectar maker.

@Monet_Crest

Making Double-Boiled Ginseng Broth does not require any level of cooking skill. The following questions might help shed light on the situation (thanks @desiree101 ) :

1. Is the University Life EP (which implements Ginseng) installed in your game? See "Requirements" section of the mod's download page.
2. Where and how is Grandma's Canning Station from the TS3 Store installed in your setup?
3. Where is the Canning Station Overhaul installed in your setup?

One of the best mods I have ever tried, but something went wrong. When I first installed it, the option for a kid to open the jar was available; now that option isn't there anymore. The only options that appear are 'put in the inventory' and nrass. I hope you can fix this because I really want the little Sims kids to be able to eat it by themselves when the parents are still sleeping.

please please please 🙏🥺

What type of jar is at issue: toast, scone, ration? If ration, what is the meal (recipe) that has been stored in it?

All except the Ginseng soup. My child Sims could open and eat the Ginseng jar.
