Now this is a real house like real people live in. Too many Trump mansions on TS3, lol.

Lmao I'll take that as a compliment

TBH, I like my houses to reflect my everyday life, so regular, everyday suburban homes are what I like to build

What a realistic-looking house Can you explain a bit how the landscaping was done, especially the parts where the terrain comes up the side of the house, which really contributes to the house looking like it "belongs" to the lot, as opposed to being plopped on top?

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much

About the landscaping, I raised the terrain to be about wall height, smooth it out and sculpt it into the shape I find that I like the most. Then I drag the foundation from the raised terrain over to the ground that wasn't terraformed and just continue to build the house from there and use the cfe cheat.

I also like to mix some grass terrain paints together on the lowest opacity to make the grass a little more realistic because not all lawns are perfect and I like the way that looks. I don't use too many plants either just so it doesn't take away from the structure of the house so much, but just to make it a little brighter :p

Those are some pretty cool tricks--I'll definitely keep them in mind in my future builds. One thing though: since I'll be plopping down the already built house, should the lot terrain be edited beforehand or after? I really like the fact that the foundation wall (not sure if that's the proper term) looks like it's built into the raised terrain and want to replicate that appearance when using this house.

Thanks again!

Nope, you dont have to do anything to the ground at all. Just place the lot and it will look exactly the same.

And you're very welcome!
