The marbled polecat (Vormela peregusna) is a small mammal...within the Mustelinae subfamily.... Marbled polecats are generally found in the drier areas and grasslands of southeastern Europe to western China. Like other members of Mustelinae, it can emit a strong-smelling secretion from anal sacs under the tail when threatened. - Wikipedia

Marbled polecats are cute. I thought I could make a cat breed from it. Here's the result. Seriously, look:

OMG! What is that behind the cute polecat? The dog appears to be wondering the same thing. We have skunks in the U.S., stinky little buggers too. All the years I've lived in Florida, I've never seen one, not sure if there are any here. ("

That's interesting. Although I don't think it's classified as a cat per se, but more like a creature from the ferret species.
But hey. It's sims 2. I like the idea of a polecat being an actual cat Very cute.

@Duine - I really have no idea. It was on my pet testing lot.

@pianogrinder: Yes, it's a mustelid. The domestic ferret is actually domesticated from the European polecat, although this is the marbled polecat. The decision to make it a cat breed wasn't entirely based on its name, though!

Well the odd looking one is quite funny. I also thought the polecat image looks more like a ferret, but I've noticed different countries don't all use the same names for some animals.
