Actually, Candyd's Balanced Calories Base Game also needs to be updated. If you look at the latest version of one of the object_food xml's that she's altered -- I used object_food_Oatmeal for my test -- you'll see that the latest version has lines of code dealing with cats and dogs, which of course Candyd's version doesn't have.

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

I hadn't checked because I wasn't having any issues with my games. However, it would appear you're right. From what I understand when using Candyds' balanced calories your pets wont gain any hunger from eating Sim meals.
I didn't run into this because I've only used the pet food bowls myself. It should be safe to use but any of the meals changed by Candyds tuning files wont actually sate your pets hunger, if they can eat them at all.

It's another relatively simple fix, just time-consuming.

I'll make sure to edit it into the main post until I or someone else updates that part of the mod. Thanks for bringing it up though!

Edit: Currently working on updating Balanced calories. It will most likely be up in a day or two.

Edit2: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=603277
Once the post has gone through moderation the fixed balanced calories should be available to download.

I already posted an updated version of the mod in the comments of the appropriate thread. I don´t think that you wish the creator harm, but I guess I personally would not like having my mods updated in a separate thread if I clearly stated the reason for my absence and my intention to return to modding as Candyd did:

"I need to take a break from modding for the moment, because my 4-legged best friend has incurable cancer, I need to be there for him as long as he's with me, and I don't have any joy or energy for modding right now. I'll still update my mods as long as I have enough remaining energy for it, but I certainly won't be releasing new stuff for a while."

My intention was to make the mod available for everyone while Candyd is away, I did send a PM to Candyd stating that when/if she requests I will remove all my posts here.
I hope I haven't caused offence to Candyd or any other modders at modthesims, I'm new to posting here - if something I did is against common etiquette I have no problem deleting the uploads.
I only uploaded the fixed mod because at the time of posting Candy hadn't been online (understandably) for over a month, and last posted back in May I believe.

Does this change the calories of food? I mean, do they get Sims fatter faster? Or does it effect the other way around? It's harder to get fat. I need to know why I wore it on the old "Muscle and No Fat mod" to avoid these Sims problems change weight fast.

No, this doesn't change the calories of food.
If you use just this mod then the rate at which your sims lose fat from exercise is 5x slower, or 10x slower if you use that flavour of the mod. There's a separate mod that changes calories of food to be mostly lower (e.g salads actually make you lose a tiny amount of weight), made by Candyd (linked at the top of the mod description) that still works but any foods effected wont restore hunger for pets. I have a fix for this currently being moderated, but I think there's a fix also uploaded in the comments of that mod itself. I haven't tried that though as I've been using the one I edited. If you use JUST this mod and not the balanced calories mod too then your Sims will get fat because you need to do 5 or 10 times as much exercise to see the same effect as vanilla.

Oh, thanks for the reply. Well sounds good but I have problem with the foods of The Sims. Well, in the old days, if I ate too much, the Sim would gain weight very fast, so I would put my Sim in the gym and I would get strong fast (going from fat to muscular body with little exercise). So because of this I installed the no muscle/fat, because I like the default body Sims creation/cas. But now, the mod no longer works, and I do not know if The Sims currently has this problem. What I wanted was a mod that did not get fat from eating food in small quantities. Well, you calories mod sounds good, but I dont want make my Sims fat only for eat a cupcake, I want like if you Sim eat only junk food daily he get fat. I don't want "I eat a chocolate cake now I fat ehuehueuh", if u mod work like this, well I will download it e.e.

That is pretty much exactly what Balanced Calories + Retuned Metabolism does together. Balanced calories changes the calories of foods like salads and most healthy dishes to actually make your Sims lose a small amount of weight. So eating junk food for one meal can be balanced out by eating a salad for your next one or two meals, or you could use the treadmill, go jogging etc for a couple of hours without your Sim becoming stick thin. On the flip side, if your Sim does nothing but eat salad they'll eventually become pretty thin.

I'd also point out that it's not my mod, just an updated version of Candyds.

When I downloaded this at candyd's, my sims were no longer able to woohoo on bed, so I had to delete. Has this been fixed?

Ohhh. That must be why I was having the woohoo problem. Also, nobody could use the treadmill, and I just kind of ignored it and had them jog instead and woohoo in the closet... Every once in a while, I come back to the game after a few months of not playing and then wonder why half my mods are broken lol. It wasn't giving me an error directly, so I hadn't removed it.

Anyway, thanks for the updated version. :D
