Oh! Interesting piece of your reallife culture! Does people usually has such entrances shed when the house is half-grounded? And can your giant potato be baked?)))

Here you can see more of my creations and conversions for sims 3. ;) I`ll glad to see your comments in.

Yes, There is a steep staircase off the side of the house leading to the basement. These were usually built in the early 1900's and were often called 'hope' houses.. i.e. People built the basement and roofed that hoping they'd have enough money in the future to build the upper floors. Then the depression hit in 1929 and many people could never recover from that to finish the houses. Most of them are gone now but in Pocatello, Chubbuck, and Idaho Falls and farming communities scattered all over the state, you can still find some old ones. I expect most of them will be demolished in the next 30 years as new money comes in for housing. People don't like to live in them now because they often leak and since most of them are rural, the snow can drift up and bury them.

I think if you tried to eat that potato, it would take a very long time to cook but it would be good roughage.

This is so funny, I love it! I'm from Idaho, so seeing something about Idaho is awesome. When I was younger, I used to live at an old farm and we had a cellar outside and a cellar inside the house! Awesome build!

I'm glad you guys can appreciate it and recognize it is based on real life. The mods who approved it had a bit of trouble with the look of that staircase. They didn't believe they really looked like that.
