Still working since May 2019, never broken.

Simulation (Timeline) Unclogger is a script that detects when a Sim causes the simulation to get stuck, rendering the game unplayable, and attempts to fix it. If you have ever encountered all of the Sims in the game completely freezing because of someone doing their homework or playing chess, this mod should help.
This mod does not fix the inherent issue that is causing Sims to get stuck but provides a remedy for it.

The Simulation Unclogger Mod is a TS4SCRIPT file. You are required to place it directly in the Mods folder or one folder deep, otherwise it will not function!

Simulation Timeline Unclogger works by watching each and every action that passes through the Sims actions timeline. Whenever an action occurs at the same time as another action in the timeline, the script counts it. When enough of the same actions (type of generator) occurs in a row, within the exact same timeframe, the action gets forcibly stopped, causing the Sim to reset, and unclog the timeline. This solution allows unclogging of the timeline from anything that is caused by any "resettable" action, which involves all Sims/Objects/Interactions.

It's unlikely this mod will become broken from game patches unless the changes directly involve the gameplay simulation. If your game fail to load or your Sims refuse to perform actions, remove it.

That only works with 1.69.57. The Sims 4 is now at 1.73.48. It worked fine before I updated my game. Now I get sims stuck everywhere. I'll put it back once Srslysims updates it.

Where do you see that it's only compatible with 1.69.57?

This seems to strongly imply it works on the latest version:

Do we know if this mod is compatible with the new 1.77.131.1030 patch?

I think that Cottage Living broke this mod Do you have any plans to fix it? I really can't play without it.

Nonetheless, I will release a refreshment update, none of the functionality is changing.

Heyy... I junt wanted to come here give my review of the SIMULATION UNCLOGGER mod.... listen, I own ALL the game packs, expansion packs and stuff packs EA ever released for THE SIMS 4... including Cottage Living... and to make things worse for my computer (oh, that poor thing), I currently have over 80GB of mods intalled on my mods folder right now (i'm NOT kidding)... everything pretty much runs ok... but when I installed Cottage Living, my game became UNPLAYABLE... everything and everyone got stuck... Whenever I tried to get a sim to do literally anything, they refused. I tried resetting them, tried repairing the game... tried everything... I couldn't get not even 2 minutes of gameplay without everything bursting into chaos... I started to consider the possibility of going through my mods to see if I could find the problem... but that would take AGES... then I stumbled on this mod right here... and let me tell you.... your mod solved ALL of my problems... just like that, nobody else gets stuck, my game doesn't crash anymore... you just saved my sims lives... without this, all of them would be frozen until they died a horrible death... I love you, man.. thanks

Yet another update to tell you that the Simulation Unclogger mod still works perfectly fine and is fully functional since its release in May 2019. If you're encountering any issues, that's nowhere close to be related to this mod. You need to look into other mods you have installed.

This mod is nothing like the Simulation Lag Fix mod, these mods have nothing in common at all. Simulation Unclogger doesn't fix any lag, it fixes the simulation getting stuck for good, meanwhile any fixes to lag is hoping that the game won't slow down from too much happening. Yes you can use both mods together because these are in no way related.

I don't know what is wrong, but I experience horrible lags in my game since the new patch was released. I have both mods you mention. I guess it's a problem with animation, because even when I click on sim the menu with interactions appears after a minute or two. That makes playing impossible. And my sims are not taking next action from the queue if I don't stop the game for a while. I have had this kind of problems before and installing your mod solved it, but now they came back and I don't know what to do.

Hey, I just had this same issue and I thought it was this mod. After much testing with all of my mods, starting with Simulation Unclogger, I found out that my SAVE FILE was corrupt. So resaving/making a new save file in a new world, etc. helped with all of the symptoms you described. So maybe try that. Hope that helps.

Is this mod compatible with the most recent patch? I think it was 1.79, the Spa Day update.
