Technically vacation homes are transferred to sims using the same interaction, in theory it should work, although I haven't tested it. I was going to test it, and then I discovered that EA made it so that the interaction doesn't appear if you have a vacation home but don't have a regular business to transfer, so I'm going to try to roll that fix into this, too. I have the day off tomorrow, so I'll see if I can get that done. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an easy way to tell if a sim owns a vacation home.

@kestrellyn - Just wondering if there was any update on it working with vacation homes. Because this is exactly something I could use for this travel agency/rental homes business I am trying to start. What I did was have a guy buy up all the vacation homes (they were tiny lots) and then display the deeds in his travel agency BUT there's a commemorative item (like a small painting of the jungle for the Twikkii jungle hut private lodging) for sale for 5 Simoleons that the customer buys, adds to their inventory so I know which rental vacation lot they queue up for. It would be SO handy to be able to transfer a deed to these customers upon them buying their keepsake instead of moving them into the travel agent's household in order to transfer the deed. and vice versa, give the deed back when they are done.

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot about this request. I did some investigating and found I would have to deal with lua scripts and sort of shelved it for a while. I'll see if I can uncover what I have to do to make this work.

Regarding your travel agency, though, does it not work to mark the deeds for sale at the travel agency the way you can do with owned business deeds? I've never tried it, so I actually don't know.

I haven't tried that yet but as far as I know, it would work that way - some threads I read from long ago about this function, said that sold vacation homes bring up a business UI when the sims go on vacation to it. The part I was to simulate is these are rental properties so they need sold back to the original owner but I don't want to have to open up a business for the sims that bought it to sell it back, and I could add the owner to their household to get it back through the propose>transfer option, but overall a mod like this, if it could work with vacation home deed/property transfers, would reduce the hassle and steps of trading a property back and forth by adding sims to households and opening more businesses.

Ok, I've updated to include this fix. Note that I've noticed the deed disappears from inventory when transferring the lot to someone outside the family, and there doesn't seem to be a way to order deeds for vacation homes, but I think it should be fine if you put the deed on the wall first (or give it to the other sim as a gift beforehand).

Ok thanks for letting me know. I am gonna back up my game and try this tonight! The deeds are on the wall so I think they will be okay. I will remember to pull them out of the inventory of the customer before they transfer them back. Thanks so much for looking into this and altering it. Much appreciated, you're a gem!

Edit: It has worked like a charm! I had a customer come in and buy the associated item, used sim blender to set their daily relationship with the deed owner to 50 and the owner transferred it right over. The deed was on the wall (still is, I think) but that's okay because the customer will give it back after their vacation. He went on vacation and the game recognized the 'rental' property as his Thank you so much again @kestrellyn for updating this mod for vacation homes!
