Thanks for fixing this!I'll notice the fix when Dodge finally gets their high school campus added to the town once it's big enough and can support one.

Thanks for this fix! I've been looking for something like this for a while. Just to be clear though, with this mod, will the dormies picked will be different every time? Vanilla behavior is that once the game assigns a dormie to a dorm, that's their dorm forever. So if more playables were added to the lot at some point and then move out, the original dormies assigned are the ones who move in. Not new dormies. Similarly, if everyone moves out of the dorm and a new household moves in, the same dormies reappear. Does this mod fix this issue, or just randomly assigns them at the initial pick?

@Phantomknight To be honest, I'm not sure how it works. I was moving families out and in and every time new dormies were chosen. Lately I don't really play TS2 and for this reason this mod wasn't tested thoroughly.

@Nopke, if that's the case, it sounds like it does fix the issue. But I'll keep an eye out and monitor who's moving in and out. Thanks for getting back to me!

is mod looks interesting, I only have one concern, does it work with the residences created or with those that come by default on the university campus ?

@Phantomknight The game clears rooms right after a family moves into a dormitory, as far as I observed. So it turns out that the game in its original state does not really assign particular students to particular dormitories but always chooses the same Sims because of their low IDs. The mystery has been solved.
@angsms278 I don't know exactly what you mean. I can only say that it works with all unplayable Sims who can be students.

What I mean is that it works with player-created university residences.

Yay! Thanks so much. I'm tired of seeing the same handful of students over and over again, enough that I used to create students I didn't intend to play and move them into dorms so that THEY would get The Usual Suspects as dorm-mates and move my real student into a different dorm after that. But your fix will be much handier!

@angsms278 If you mean dormitories – yeah, this mod does work on player-created ones.

This sounds like such a good idea. I wondered why the same 4 or 5 NPCs were in my dorms all the time and this explains and fixes it. Thanks very much.

The hack conflict detector's showing a conflict between this and BO's Multi-Key Dorm Doors. Can this be resolved by changing the load order?

@Amalia81 Thanks for your report. Unfortunately, my mod can't work properly with Multi-key Dorm-Doors for now. I'm going to release a multi-key compatible version soon.

Awesome! I've been getting annoyed with the SAME 6-7 dormies continuously appearing in the one dorm I created in my hood!

Do you think it would be possible to make this mod also pick the mascots, cheerleaders and naked creepers to be your dormies when picking from the townie pool?

@FrancescoCalìa I guess it is possible but I'm not sure if it's safe. They're special NPCs with their special behaviors.
